You probably forgot about wind and temperature changes...thats why near perfectly treated room with proper air conditioning that will keep stable temperature in the room is the best solution for recording and mixing.
Wind and temperature mess a lot with frequency response and air transparency. So better stable unperfect environment than open air without reflections and modes but with constantly changing environment.
    Cheers!

There are so many "teachers" and tutorial "gurus" out there, and 90% of them just don't fit me as a person to begin with...but for some reason you kling well in my ears. You are trying hard, but not too hard if you get what I mean. Mainly Jon Sine is working for himself and his studio, so we get to see the success as well as failures. I feel I can relate to Jon Sine, and that's why I start my morning with coffee and a Sine video pretty much every day :)

Lights from the top create a very cold feeling.. It´s like a hospital, or an industrial place. All interior designers know that you must have the light coming from lamps from the lower area to get a much more cozy, welcoming, warm and home environment... Go to any lamp shop and talk to the experts.. This is the a,b, c of interior design. Believe me. White Lamps in the ceiling is for a Laboratory but not for a studio. You need warm yellow indirect light coming from the floor or from lamps no taller than your chest.

Every room, no matter the size will have standing waves based on the physical dimensions. These standing waves will produce peaks and nulls in your frequency response at your listening position. Rockwool traps are very effective broadband absorbers but to minimize standing waves in a room in the lowest octaves 32Hz-65Hz-130Hz C1-C3( frequencies below your room's Schroeder frequency where sound behaves like a wave and not a beam) you need to use diaphragmatic or limp mass absorbers. A limp mass absorber will trap effectively down to 30 Hz depending on the air gap, filling and weight of your limp mass. Get some mass loaded vinyl 1 to 2lbs per ft/sq and cover some of those MDF boxes, seal the back. Make sure it is airtight. You can calculate the target frequency by dividing 170 by the square root of the mass times depth and 143 for a isothermal (insulation) filled cavity. Grab yourself a calibrated measurement mic and a free copy of Room EQ Wizard to take measurements before and after of your installation. Good Luck.

I'm really excited to see how you're gonna do that ceiling thing. Because only the LED panel constructions with Rockwool on top would sag or bend a bit in the middle, when only laying on top of the "wall elements", don't you think? Do you plan to have at least a central, if not outside and central suspension on the ceiling (which might be "uncoupled" by springs at least a bit)?

And why have 60% of Pro musicians quit this declining business? Hmmm?? Oh yes 99.9% of people losing money and recording studios across the world being forced to close down.
