1978 at the Hotel Nelson on Place Jaques Cartier. $2.00 cover charge, maybe 30 people to start with 40 later. They gave it everything! Dancing and bouncing off Frankie in what would somewhat later be called the mosh pit, Frankie leaning in and sharing the mike with me on the chorus. Gord grinning at me and encouraging me to contribute to the show. To this day so grateful I was there. R.I.P. Frankie, R.I.P. Gord.
Teenage Head.. DOA and The Forgotten Rebels were my fave Canadian punk rock bands in my teen years... Oh this is just classic.. and never gets old... be still my inner punk rock heart!!! haha
I grew up in Hamilton and I know them personally they used to put me on the guest list in Calgary and Banff Alberta Nick was my buddy we had a little band called loudmouth from Hamilton I say hi from Vancouver my home now for 40 years man could teenage head ever rock and roll
I went to Fenelon Falls a few times. It was on the Trent Canal I think. They had this awesome bead store. It's probably not there anymore it was 40 years ago.
James Armstrong Spats, holy crap, were you there the night they played and we ripped the shit out of the place? All the mirrors in the bathroom got smashed, the big mirror behind that second bar they weren't using at the time got taken out by a beers bottle *looks to the ground shamefully* people were picking up chair and ramming the stain glass portions in the ceiling. About 10 police cars rolled in and the cops swarmed the place. I almost got busted for helping wreck the place but a cop let me out a side door and let me go. I use to follow them up to The Key to Bala as well. Good times, I use to follow them everywhere as well :)
Saw them at the Ontario Place Riot summer 1980. The band had to flee the stage. Booze bottles were being thrown at them. People were tearing the backs off the seating at the Ontario Place Forum. It was the most fun I ever had at a rock concert. Just crazy nuts!
