I think the real shame this season is the boys could not get together and take it upon themselves to lift their game to another level for Klopp. Jurgen has given his soul and heart to this team and has told us all very simple that his fuel tank is empty and he has no more to give. That’s the point where I would have hoped the players would have his back and step up. Sadly, they didnt. They could have, but they didn’t.
Why would they? Half the players aren't the OG Liverpool team that won the prem & CL. Not saying they don't care but consistently careless passes & get bullied far too easy.
They let him down big time. Especially the players he brought in the last 2 years
Especially Salah who is continuously disappointing recently.

I will miss Jurgen a lot. He didn't win as many trophies as he should have, but you knew when he was manager Liverpool were always aiming to be 1st. I'm not sure that will be the case when he's gone as the owners are happy with top 4 and the money it brings.

Love Klopp but the last two seasons defensively have almost caused a breakdown. I'm glad the next phase of this wonderful club is in process...sort this defence out Slot.
Agree, have a look at goals against this season in comparison to Arsenals goals against. The defence is the weak point in the team. That's why Arsenal and city are above us in the league. Having said that Villa and Tottenham's goals against tally is way worse than ours. So we are way ahead of fourth and fifth in the League but falling short defensively of competing with first and second in the league. Opportunity for improvement next season.

I think we may need to look at the system we play against better teams. We maybe need to fill midfield more and be tight . Playing to open is great if you have mane bobby and mo flying at you but when we dont it doesnt have the fear factor to push good teams back.

Me thinks he was watching a different game to me. The defence was non existent. Endo ran the midfield and once he took him off the midfield collapsed. If they had been more clinical we would have been hammered.
Never never change a winning team. Elliott is more efficient when he plays for only 40 minutes!!! .
I think that the squad over achieved with the injuries. And the youngster's were great. But at times we did look spent a lot during the run in, and the fluidity of the new boys in the midfield and Mo's form took a dip also, we did well to keep up with the others. Farewell Jurgen Ubermensh...

Quansah got skinned by Watkins for first goal. Kid has been good in patches but been guilty for last 7-8 goals directly starting from Man U game. Need a rest… sure he will come back strong next season. Konate need to start again to strengthen right side.

In particular to see Emery losing it all the time while Jurgen was just calm.

Totally inept coaching, an irrational insistence on players symbols of defensive vulnerability, call me Joe Gomez, failed substitutions in key matches, call me FA Cup elimination from Man Utd, systematic benching of defenders who could help, like Mattip and Tsimikas, etc.
His haggard physique lately tells volumes about his down psychology and his inability to inspire any longer!
