Ibn al-Qayyim reported: Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said to me once, “What can my enemies do to me? My paradise and my garden are in my heart wherever I go and they are never separated from me. If I am imprisoned, then it is seclusion for worship. If I am killed, then it is martyrdom. If they expel me from my land, then it is tourism.”
    [al-Wābil al-Ṣayyib 1/48]

😭 Our Ulema have such touching biographies - the knowledge they had of Islam, the lives they lived, the experiences, the firmness, the hardwork they put in so we can learn from. No words. Thank you for this lecture I truly learned alot. Jazakallahu khairan.

In my opinion, inshallah ta'ala, this Sheikh has the potential to be one of the greatest scholars of Islam in the 1400's A.H., especially in the English speaking world.

Akhi Ustadh Abdur Rahman Hassan, wanted this lecture very much.Ibn Taimiyyah has inspired many of us Rahimahullah.
Please publish your book in english so that we can read and study the life of Shaikh ul Islam ibn Taimiyyah. Even if it runs into 400-500 pages in sha Allah it'll be a treat.
We need a good book for the English world.
    Barakallahufeek akhi.

I was so looking forward to this when I came across it, may Allah bless you for your intention, I'm not sure perhaps you were speaking to an Arab audience, as it seemed you were translating the english for them or it could have been vice versa, but in Arabic there are hundreds of videos on the Shaykh, but in English hardly any. This was too short for me. Barak Allah feek.

Sheikh ul Islam رحمه الله تعالى knew that the killing of the scholars isn't the cure رحمه الله تعالى but the authority of Saudi are on the other way around. Yes there are scholars who's methodology is weak yet they are carrying the knowledge which Allah gave them.

I’m a layman and I can’t help but wonder as to which group of peoples in our times have derived and derive the greatest inspiration from Ibn Thaiymiya?
From a Historical standpoint I wonder which groups of People in the world today are inspired by this man?
It might well serve us well then to examine the works of these devotee students and followers of Ibn Thaiyimiya, following his teachings.
Jesus Christ peace and Blessings be on him is reported to have said that any tree 🌲 one could judge, by the fruits that the tree bears.
Thus In this respect what are the fruits that this man who Allah swt had Blessed with a truly Phenomenal memory and intellect had engendered?
Have the Muslims derived Peace, felicity, harmony and unity from Allah Gifting this man with such towering brains 🧠 and intellect? Or have Muslims and the world derived heartache, sorrow, divisions, wailings and abject horror by those people inspired by this man?
It seems to me that, we as a people needs to ask ourselves these questions. May Allah Give us all - the human family Guidance. May Allah Give Ibn Thaiyimiyah to see His Justice. Amen!

Sheikh ibn Tayymiyah rahimullah was a great scholar no doubt but there were far greater and knowledgeable scholars from Ahlu Sunnah than him even during his own lifetime!!!but they never get praise or recognition that he does there is a clear agenda behind this from a section of certain Muslims Allahu alam

Mujadid Ibn Hajar al Asqalani says about Ibn Taymiyya:
"They ascertained that he had blurted out certain words concerning doctrine which came out of his mouth in the context of his sermons and legal decisions, and they mentioned that he had cited the hadith of Allah's descent, then climbed down two steps from the minbar and said: "Just like this descent of mine" and he was categorized as an anthropomorphist."(Idol Worshippers/Mushrik)
    [ Ibn Hajar, al-Durar 1:153.]

If a heretic Mujassima is your Sheikh Ul Islam. Then so be it. You will be with those who you love. That goes for the Wahabi/Salafi innovators whos Ideology doesn't go past 250 years.
