- The three-division champion Philippines' Casimero (30-4, 21 KOs), fighting in his United States televised debut, dropped Micah (24-1, 19 KOs) early in the second round with a left hook, and consistently used his right hand in devastating fashion to finish off the Brooklyn, N.Y.-trained Micah, a 2012 Ghanaian Olympian who suffered the first loss of his career.
It was a complete performance for Casimero, who said after the fight that he's ready for all the top 118-pound fighters in the division. "I hurt him in the second round with an uppercut, but I knew I was facing a good fighter," he said. "I didn't expect to knock him out so fast. He's strong, so I was prepared to go all 12 rounds.
"I'm the real monster. Naoya Inoue is scared of me. He's next. I would have knocked out anyone today. If Inoue doesn't fight me, then I'll fight Guillermo Rigondeaux, Luis Nery, or any of the top fighters."

I've never seen Casimero fight But the 2nd I saw a clip even with his blonde hair I knew he was Filipino by the way he threw his punches. That kind of power at a 117 pounds is unheard of . Some of these fellows from the Philippines that have spirit then crack like nothing else. What a stud to stand in front of that too. Those are heavyweight shots at 117 pounds.

Inoue broke his nose fighting an old nonito Donaire, and while he is a good boxer, he has never faced anyone like Casimero. And of course, Casimero also hasn't faced anyone at Inoue's level, but Casimero was fighting mostly in his opponents' home country, which Inoue hasn't done yet since all of his major fights always happen in Japan. During Inoue's previous fights, his opponents were like dogs that were scared and kept running inside the ring, and I'm sure that will not be the story when Casimero and Inoue fight. For that to happen, Casimero must get any of the major belts in the super bantamweight division, so Inoue will be the one to chase him.
