It really doesn’t matter whether you think the coin is conservatively graded because the market has spoken regarding coins slabbed by ICG and ANACS: they are determined to be over graded and often trade at a sizable discount to those encapsulated by PCGS and NGC. Have you offered the coin to any dealers since you bought it ? That should immediately tell you a great deal about whether you overpaid for this particular example. Buying older numismatic coins on eBay is pretty much a losing proposition ninety percent of the time. However, it will be interesting to know if you decide to send it to either of the two major grading services for another opinion.
