Excellent advice about the importance of rest to our health especially when dealing with human deficiencies. Our positive leaders die too young, I think, because they neglect their health and other lifestyle changes to take on these societal problems. Pls Mr Rattigan your mental, emotional, spiritual care is as important as your physical state.
I think Jamaican governments need to focus more on people development as a priority strategy.. Too much focus on foreign investments. Those investments will dry up without high skilled workforce anyway. A good system of apprenticeship from High School to Doctorate level coiuld make a big difference. Check out the UK approach and also practiced in the EU

Was reading an article today in the South Florida Caribbean News. The person says the Diaspora cannot solve Jamaica's crime problem. To me that is an ignorant statement as they do not know the levels of expertise that lies in the Diaspora to make such statement. The person then tries to defend the Security ministers statement about not wanting help from the Diaspora. This is the disunity in the diaspora that hurts Jamaica. One cannot make declarations without understanding the what is fully on the table. There are 2 areas the diaspora could help in quickly; 1. Intelligence collection and 2. Community based policing. Others will come over the long term.
