During the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, he spoke everything in parables which did not understood by many of his followers. Why did not Jesus spoke in clear clarity?
Likewise, this is not a one word answer rather it is a mystery revealed to Apostle Paul. So to fully understand the concept you must study the whole bible, rightly divided. You must first understand what is church and what is the purpose and promises of the church. The eternity of the church is in the heavenlies only, hence it must be raptured to heaven. This is what Paul refers in his 13 epistles. One example is 1Tess 4:16-17 wher it confirms ‘ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord’. This is not referring to the 2nd coming of Christ to earth for the millennium reign. You must first have a wholesome picture of the bible to understand the secret coming of christ in the clouds.

Mathew, Mark, Luke is not preaching Christianity but the fulfillment of the promises given to the fathers of Israelites.
