My Brother, I can't tell you how beautiful it is to see you do this fish shop. I grew up, and lived around that area all of my young life. It was always a brilliant chippy for at least the last 40 years that I know...incredible that they are still serving up top quality now....I'm glad you got the usual warmGeordie welcome...Love you Bruv, love to the Fam x
something tells me that regular cod wouldn't normally be that size, when they know who he is they're bound to give him that special treatment, it did look very very good though...
Here in NZ you can’t get a fish serving that large, fish and chip shops here would make that 1 piece you had do 6 servings here ,sliced extra thin and generally speaking overcook it,not all but most.
You get what you pay for of course and that looks quality food with great presentation with slices of lemon, greenery and complimentary dips. Particularly liked the look of that fishcake with chorizo and is clearly a testament to whoever created it.
That cod is the best I have ever seen, nice and thick, just as it should be. This is a great man, very entertaining. Never seen a fish cake like these, so well made
Me and my friend Mike, always wonder and wish how come there’s no real fish and chips shops in Florida? Yes, they do serve a flounder fillet and fries, but I want that plate like you got that giant cod, good for you lucky dog.! I’m trapped in the house because of illness and you’re making the day go by faster 👍🏼🥰
We visited epcot from UK and tried the fish and chips in the UK section it was a joke it was a piece of frozen fish then deep fried that tasted disgusting. The Irish pub at the Disney springs was OK it was half decent food .
Jeez, you know I usually hate fish cakes... My experience with them, even from higher class fish and chip shops, is that of a horrid processed grey "fish" meat that tastes like ancient, cheap school cafeteria fish fingers. Those fish cakes look like a whole different thing, and the sound they made when you bit into them gave me a desire ive never had in my life before; Now I actually want a fish cake.
Wow Danny that food looks great, I enjoy your videos, and I like the food that you like aswell, and it's nice to see your friendly Ness to passers by , I can see your care for others, thanks from Tony from Bedfordshire
I recall my fish cakes orders at one quid in 1985, Chinese massive spring rolls at 2 quid in 1985, week shopping bill is now 150 quid compared to 75 quid before 2020.
I watch from the US and our drink prices, including water, are crazy high. Almost $3 for a bottle of water or pop. We have stopped buying drinks when we get take out and bring our own.
Danny... those large paper bags easily fold flat so you can slip it in next to your seat...crushing the bag is like rubbing your nails on a chalk board... 🙂
Go at lunch time and get their lunch-time mini meals. They're not so mini, and they cost about a fiver. Fenham Fish Bar is great, food is amazing. They have let their reputation get ahead of themselves a little, as they're known in the toon as being one of the best, and their prices reflect it. Could be worse, could be Colemans in South Shields.
OMG Danny that fish looked lovely all crispy and devine yum yum in the tum 10/10 for me i was salivating watching this and im on a blinking diet hahahaha

The best fish and chips I can remember were when I was a boy! They came wrapped in newspaper and have never tasted as good since we’ve gone this hygienic packaging route.
When fish and chips are that good it's my favourite meal. But almost impossible to find it this good. Mostly squashy frozen cod now not big white flakes like here.

Would love my fish shop scran to be in newspaper again.
They are off the mark for the water. Its not cheap around here for Takeaway and my local chipper is only€1.50 for water. Its €3.80 for chips and €8.20 for fresh or smoked cod.
When i went to Canada i thought it weird that they eat french fries with gravy. Now i have seen that beat. French fries with peas. Never thought of that combo before.
