Living In Missouri my whole life I feel like this is the Floridians equivalent to squirrel hunting. It really looks like a lot of fun.
Same here man. But these have some more meat
We have multiple species of squirrels in Florida.
We hunt squirrels too. And possum, armadillos, and gators.
You've heard of chicken of the sea? - these are chicken of the tree! 😅
Technically dinosaur hunting 😆
Man y'all made Florida looks so nice I forgot about the oppressive heat and almost went outside 😆
Lol, good one. So true.
florida here. it aint so hot. its not even that humid today. in fact i gtg im gonna mow my lawn.
We are starting to cool off nicely this time of year is the best. 81 deg today, very low humidity. I'm 45 min North of WPB.
I wouldn't dare leave my AC lonely.
Florida is nice it’s not so hot
Eric has some questions for his dad now
@Larry Pinhead thats Probably in a domesticated setting. Animals usually don't live as long in the wild
We've been culling the iguana herd in Ft Lauderdale for the past 15 years with a variety of pcp airguns. Best to aim for the tympanic membrane or right beind the front legs, center mass, for the heart shot.
@@HeSheTheyThem do they taste good their meat look like light brown like fish
@@HeSheTheyThem ive had em' ground up in Tacos. It was good.
@@HeSheTheyThem They taste like frog legs but with more meat on them.
Big fan of this type of hunting, these are invasive, non-native species that need to go!
Yep I tottaly Agree!
I can’t wait until someone designs a tin slug so that we can hunt them without the use of lead.
Of course compared to lead pellets it’s not gonna be as accurate.
But as a slug without a big hollow point it should have around the same weight, and energy as the lead pellet does.
But.. but!! Humans are non native invasive species!
@@eagleone5456 Yep and we have caused more damage than any single species on this planet it’s up to us to fix those problems. Hence the hunting of the iguana.
@@gregmcb5305 it's a, "what would a lib say?"
@@eagleone5456 ah lol 😂
SAVE THE SKULLS! They’re so cool! They look like little T-Rex skull!
I used to skin em, put them on a fire ant mount for a day or so and then use peroxide to whiten it. Then super glue it together and mount it!
I think most of the skulls are smashed in from head shots
I mean you could aim for the spine or neck but that's a risky shot with either missing or causing unnecessary pain for the iguana
Also seems a bit disturbing to collect skulls
@@honorableundead2273 folks are less disturbed by my skulls than they were with ears.
If I was from Florida, I’d be doing this all day.
Florida Man here, you put them iggys on the grill with some Everglades seasoning and get a 12 pack of cold natty ice and you got yourself a kicken Friday night with your lady friend.
A dress and cook film would complement it well.
You had me until natty ice Hahahah. I'm not 14 anymore so I have options.
@@John5.56 IPA...Definitely go IPA.
Making me hungry bro.
@@John5.56 Least he didn't say Natty Light. Water plz....Hold the beer lol.
Reminds me of sailors and lionfish in the carribean and east coast of USA "eat 'em to beat 'em." Lion fish belong in the Indo-pacific region and are invasive and devastating in the western hemisphere. Their spines are venomous, but their flesh is delicious. It makes primo ceviche. I'd love to hear of some recipes for iguana.
I've had them breaded and I think they were baked. It was like fish sticks, but taste even better.
Iguana on a stick is good
@@nottaexpert2690 even better?!
@@brownjatt21 Hey, I like fish sticks :) My dad used to catch some white fish and then my grandmother would make fish sticks. It was great. But that iguana I had was so tasty and just melted in my mouth.
Buffalo wings
"Died from old age"
"They live to be 50-60"
"Well, that's my dad told me so I wouldn't get upset."
Lol 😆🤣 I've been there with a turtle when I was 8 🤣
The dude lied, they live like 10-15 years max lol
@@DeimosPC Google iguana lifespan, says over 20. 50-60 seems like a stretch tho.
@@DeimosPC he said 15 to 16 but dude thought he said 50 to 60.
@@ephemera9767 Something lost in translation there, lofl

Henry lever action with a bunch of .22 shorts. Would definitely be fun. Or .22lr out in the swamps and away from homes.
I love our lever action Henry .22, but a 10/22 with a red dot .... slaying them !!
That Ren and Stimpy "Log" hat. I remember that episode and the song. Damm, Eric is taking me back to my childhood 😭😭😭
🎼What rolls down stairs, alone or in pairs, and over your neighbor's dog?, What's great for a snack, And fits on your back?
I was already an adult by the time Ren & Stimpy came out but love them just the same.
@@malk67 It's Lo-og, it's Lo-og
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood
It's Log, it's Log
It's better than bad, it's good!
...it really sticks with you! (No pun intended)
I'm with you, I cant believe other people remember this as well as I do. Hahahahah, I need to find that hat for my brother pronto.
@@07zx14White Parlay vooz frankase?? No? THEN YOU NEED NEW INTERNATIONAL LOG!!!
Can’t wait to see them grilled up
The timing of this video...impeccable. I have an invasive species project in my ecology class, and we got the green iguana. PERFECT!!!
Show us the cook! Looking forward to seeing how you like the taste
Exactly! Leave us all hanging with "they taste great", but how to prepare and cook them? Maybe they need to do a crossover episode with Cowboy Kent Rollins 😀
They taste like chicken
It's like a little piece of your heart broke when you learned iguanas live for about 50 years.
@Larry Pinhead even if it's like 25 years, that's a crazy long time for how fast they breed
Iguanas usually only live to 12 to 15 years
Imagine having an invasive species that lives that long and breathe as much as iguanas...
Now that was one cool hunt. Glad to see you and Chad have so much fun while getting rid of an invasive species.
An entire dock of em. Where's a full auto mp5 when you need it Eric! Lol joking
That’s some good shooting especially considering the boat is still slightly moving
I'm an FAA certified weather observer. That cloud cover is scattered, not overcast. Carry on.
Eric, maybe you can do an air rifle series covering types, price ranges, etc
Can you post a link to the air rifle you used in this hunt?
That would be cool
Bro!!!! I can’t believe you were shooting iguanas on my canals! I literally drive along side that canal every day for my entire life! Hope you had fun and come back whenever!
There's a few guys on the Slingshot forum who hunt these with slingshots and 10-11mm steel or lead balls. 🤙
Chad was totally Chad'ing out. Monstersss
West Palm Beach is my old stomping grounds!! I left there 18 years ago , now I live 150 miles north in the Ocala National Forest, love it up here! We have black bear, deer , wild hogs , all kinds of hunting but haven’t seen any iguanas up here , I guess it just gets too cold once you go north of Orlando 😁
Great video !!
I moved to Martin County last year and there are not that many, have to go to WPB for those and peacock bass
Damn Eric, every time you bent over with those mountain shorts on, we saw the valley of the shadow of death! 😂
Wish I knew about this when I lived in Florida in early 2000s. Looks like a blast
It wasn't really a thing back then. The iguana population has exploded recently.
Glad to see you guys wiping out iguanas. Would be a nice retirement hobby if you lived in S. Florida.
What a FUN video!!!! Nice job guys!!
Love the Log hat! One of my favorite Ren and Stimpy skits.
This would be a riot with my volq 22.
Great video Boys. Keep killin em!
It does look fun! And helping the environment… so awesome. Great video!
This is modern day dino hunting, and I love it!
@3:32 Huston we have a full moon, I say again a full moon! :P
Love your Work Eric!
The thumbnail is great. Looks like you had a blast awesome video.
Awesome trip!! Enjoy seeing a different take on the channel.
Those canals were my old stomping grounds!!!! WPB was home when I was a kid, and the canals were a blast!
That’s my home, I love it here. I’d never thought you’d be visiting my backyards. Wish I knew you were visiting.
what's the name of that place it looks fun!
Great video and looks fun. You made it look mosquitoe free and not too hot.
Loved the video, thanks. And great hat!
Very cool video brothers. Look forward to more...thanks.
I love your hunting content like this. I hope you continue to make content like this. I wish you every success
and I've got to say Eric's aim is perfect!! No matter what he shoots!
Loving these new vids!
i love it in the early 2000s we used to all run around with pellet guns shooting everything haha before we could get real guns brought back some memories good video!!
I am loving the hunting videos guys! Keep them coming
great video. watch you all the time. never saw you do air rifles. a hobby of mine. fx makes some of the best quality and accurate ones out there.
Never knew iguanas were invasive. Glad I learned something, these videos are a great watch too. Keep up the great work guys
Florida has more evasive species than native species because of the exotic pet trade. If it was a pet you can bet it now lives wild in Florida. The lakes and canals are infested with African cichlids and Snakeheads. The reason is the climate is the same and these animals habitat so they thrive, any other state these evasive animals would die out from the cold or lack of food. Florida is the real-life Jurassic Park, lol.
8:39 “I do declare, I feel rather unwell. I shall retire for a rest, I bid you gentlemen adieu”. 😂
I m a fan of your channel. Looks like you were in the canal next to Southern Blvd. I live less than a mile north of that off Haverhill. Cool to see you were so close to my home.
Would have liked to see some time with chad behind the rifle. Y’all be stingy with his shooting. Almost like he wants to play ringer when he goes to comp shoots 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chads a better shot.
The 90's fishing show rock music
* chef's kiss *
That FX is on my top 10 list of "must have" rifles. I will own one someday. And love the Florida iguana hunts. Looks fun.
Nice harvest:) never tasted an iguana, definitely on my 🪣 list
That looks like tons of fun!
The "LOG" hat is taking me back, man.
I thought I was the only one who remembered that episode of Ren and Stimpy 😭😭😭😭
Interesting! Definitely a practical use for a quality air rifle. Thanks for sharing.
God bless all here.
I'd recognize that amp anywhere. Nice work Eric.
That was cool 👊
Seeing how tough they are i would use a crossbow with a fishing arrow and reel attachment.
At 3:26 i legit thought you had a pink thong on.....
Search for Iguana Man CZcams channel. He tours with a guy that hunts them with a bow. Also he shows how to skin iguanas
@@ElJuan008 I will, thank you.
Bro. Seriously, those things are SCARY fast! Holy crap!
Man that was friggen awesome man got to know how they taste Awesome thanks so much this was a great video
Great episode 👍🤝😎
What no clean and COOK!?👌🤠👍
GREAT time thanks for sharing.
@eric. The best part of that video was you leaning over the boat reaching into the water at your first iguana and then asking "do they bite" didn't look like you cared about being bitten. Great video, can't wait for more like this.
The boat owner says shoot him in dee ruf. Eric doesn't want to ruin the guys dock roof. Whatta cool dude.
I' m surprised something doesn't get them before Eric does when they fall in the water with the size of the mudfish, snook, etc..
And don't forget the Ali-Gat-ors...
Y’all need to do more of these video
Another hunt on the bucket list for me in the future.
Awesome job guys!
I'm loving the Log hat.
Wish we could have seen yall break em down, see what the meats like, consistency and maybe a taste review. Cool video yall, thanks for the good entertainment glad yall enjoyed it.
Please do a review on top 2011 pistols love the channel and content keep it comin!!
Awesome love your videos Eric favourite channel
This looked like a blast!
Great video Eric! It's worse than the squirrels around here!
Crazy. I had no idea they were so common. We don't have those issues here in Minnesota with Lizards. It's just too cold here. We do have plant and fish species that survive the cold though.
When it gets cold down here, they start droppin’ from the trees left and right. We need a good cold snap this winter.
I wish i lived near there. I would love to do this. I'd make meals out of them and give them away to folks in need.
i could watch this all day! :)
My god, those shorts! Have you no decency? lol. Great video as usual.
Nice hunt. This looks like a lot of fun!
Is there an email or website that shows prices and availability/ hours? This definitely looks like it'd be a good time
I have eatine Iguana in the jungle one time. It was good. They cooked BBQ style on a grill. Reminded me of a cross between chicken and pork... A bit dry...
Great Video! Now you need to go to the Glades and hunt Pythons! But Bro. catch some sun those legs nearly blinded me! LoL!
You're loving that airfifle!!!
impressive accuracy
love the Ren and Stimpy hat!!
9:30 lil iguana wit his arm was like stop it stop it stop it!! Lol
Good times, fun video!
PSA: Around minute 3:30 a full moon rises in broad daylight. Better cover your eyes or have a few of your favorite adult beverage.
@Eric: I appreciate your evil choice in pants. 😱👌
"The killers in the background" that was funny!!
Great video.. On the Gulf Coast of FL.. Need to see about doing some hunting of these.. I probability would have asked about if they bite, or how to retrieved before I tried too ;)
YES!! more invasive species episodes
I love your ren and stimpy hat!
I'm disappointed with YT. I haven't seen a notification from your channel in months. From now on I will have to look you up each week to make sure I don't miss your intriguing content.
Freaking epic video, it’s a good day!
Awesome job guys
Scope mighta been off a notch. Great vid man hope I get down there with a pellet rifle one day
I’m a little west of y’all in Loxahatchee, nice to see you two in our hood. 👍
Love the hunting content!
Miss it .what kind of rifle is that 30cal?? Can you use a 22cal CB caps or shorts? On them .
