I can’t believe everyone on the Airbus got out. It’s absolutely unbelievable
I guess size matters in collision
They are saved
The difference between 5 and.... 385 casualties is demonstrated in this accident... Luck was on their side too...
It definitely helped that the plane was landing and did not have as much fuel on board as it had during the takeoff. But, yes, all things considered, this could have been much worse.
@@Seventh7Art absolutely.
Shame people dedicated to saving lives are killed in such a horrible way. RIP Coast Guard family.
Sad this happened after the earthquake..glad they survived and prayers for the ones we lost..
Maybe pray for your God to stop things like this from happening?
@@ROOKTABULA Humans make mistakes. Is that God's fault ?
It wouldnt have happened if the earthquake hadnt happened
i'm sorry dude but what the hell good are prayers going to do?

It does show that airline evacuation drills work.
Unfortunately no chance for the smaller plane getting hit by an Airbus at 100mph.
Amazing that the passengers all survived. I'm guessing that this is only possible in a society such as Japan's. The people are so wonderful, considerate and helpful.
its due to air crew training not the country of Japan.
it's because of the training of the crew, not Japanese culture. Westerners need to stop acting cringe when it comes to Japan.
@@spongebobsquaretits No training can prevent dozens of selfish panickers climbing over each other.
@@thisismobius Americans can't even board a plane without fighting over overhead storage. The Japanese are simply a far more considerate culture than most.
@@spongebobsquaretits Nope. He's actually quite correct. I have been to Japan many times. They handle situations far better than, say, Americans. They are more apt to stay calm and help one another.
Condolences to crew lost on Coast Guard plane. Such SAD NEWS.
RIP, coast guard people. A sad beginning of a new year. Life is too short and precious. Take care, everyone.
Yes sad like USA shootings everyday of the year.
Those passengers are lucky to be safe.
And it’s only day 2 in 2024 . Yea
What a horrific incident. May all the victims Rest in Eternal Peace 😇 🙏 ❤️ 🦋. My deepest condolences to their families and friends ❤
According to your beleif your wizard in the sky must have caused this......
This is unbelievable. An earthquake and now this. Pray for Japan.
As an indian I have the luxury to travel one flight and never experience or expect this type of accident while flying air india flight due to extreme safety measures by indian government. i also think indigo another airline own by india is also very safe. I always fly india airlines for this reason.
@@rajeshgajwelly9035 It wasn't the fault of the airlines. It was the coast guard plane who caused the accident. I am very glad you have strict government standards. There must be a lot of planes flying out of and into India.
@@leanne123 we have extra safety step when boarding plane compared to other country. and fleet is very young.
Your wizard in the sky must have caused it according to your weird beliefs.
Such a sad time for Japan earthquake in this plane crash. How disturbing all prayers to the people of Japan?😢
Thank you for saying “dead”. I do not understand why journalists or news readers say “passed”.
It is not a miracle that all passengers survived, but thanks to the precise actions of the cabin crew.
The cabin crew had judged the exits that could be opened in a cabin engulfed in flames, and had given precise instructions to escape without their luggage. As the telephone lines to the cockpit were disconnected, the cabin crew in the back seat had to use their own judgement to determine an escape route. In the end, three of the eight escape exits were usable. Finally, the captain took a final look around the cabin and evacuated the few remaining passengers before making the final escape. It was not a miracle, but it was brave.
It is important to note, they did not collide on the tarmac, as she said. They collided on the runway as the Japan Airlines plane was landing, and the Coast Guard plane crossed the runway without clearance. I don't know why people call the runway the tarmac. The tarmac is where I park my plane, or do my runup.
is it because the runway is made of tarmac ? not everybody is a pilot
@@notexpatjoe To clarify, tarmac really refers to the material the surface is made of. Runways are concrete, not tarmac.
@@notexpatjoe Bottom line, they should stop using the word tarmac entirely. Just say runway, taxiway, apron, gate, etc.
A terrible accident, but could have been more tragic! Sad for the rescue crew that died.
May the 5 people rest in peace.
And praying the Pilot of the Coast Gaurd recovers from his injuries
Too sad 😔
If this was to happen in Russia, most passengers would be dead because the surviving passengers would be saving their luggage
🤡
that happens in the USA too. Incredibly selfish
Or stealing bags from others......
Coastguard are at fault
Very sad for all involved. 😢
If it wasn't for bad luck Japan would have no luck at all.
Kinda misleading, the fire itself wasn’t caused by the a350 on collision. It was the dash 8
😮😢😮😢OMGoodness…This is a tragedy. Care & prayers for all those involved. RIP Coast Guards Members who lost their
lives and condolences to all family members. 🙏💙
You just hate to see this, especially when SAR personnel are so vital during a natural disaster?
This is beyond terrible. We stand in solidarity to pray for Japan. God have mercy.
You can clearly see when the collision happened
Probably the first loss of the airbus a350.
I hope everyone was safe on the plane🙏
Did you have the sound off or did you even bother watching and listening to the video?
@@ROOKTABULA apparently not lol
Bro read the title and just commented on it, forget watching the video I guess😂
A runway incursion. Given how busy airport's are and that air traffic controllers have to deal with 8 planes or more inbound and outbound, I'm surprised there aren't more of em. At least going by reports anyway.
wait'll you find out how overworked and burnt out Canada's air traffic controllers are.
@@trevorj79 that I have no doubt
In 5 years NOBODY will be flying on passenger planes.
Yes but why and how did this happen. Was the dash 8 there when it shouldn’t be ? Was the wrong runway used?
atc control should know where dash 8 period. its seems dash 8 did move when it wasnt supposed too.

Sooo sad ... Praying for Japan 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you. I history has shown that literally the only tangible way to help people is to talk to the old man in the sky and beg him to help. Fool.
Dont waste your time only you listening.
I'm so glad that the passenger plane is safe; sad that the coast guard plane had casualties. Hope that the investigation will find out why the collision happened in the first place.
Geez... Japan just cant catch a break since the new year...
"GEEZ" how american
Dam there having a horrible start to the new years. 😢
😢😢😢
How many planes can fit on one runway at same time ?.
dumbest question I`ve seen in a long time
The a350 likely landed on top of the smaller coast guard Dash-8 aircraft.
It's hard to see a dark aircraft at night on a dark runway. Aircraft lights blur with other lights.
So the earthquake relief plane wasn’t on the radar and they collided? How did this happen?
My heart goes out to the families
*this is gonna be bad for their luggage*
Feels like 2024 is playing russian roulette with Japan 😓

That male reporter needs to take a minute and breath. Then he wont be saying "um" "uh" all the time.
In Japan, it's 7am. A night of nightmares has begun. We don't know the details yet. All passengers and crew on the JAL plane are safe. Five of the six people on board the Japan Coast Guard plane died. The captain is in critical condition with severe burns all over his body. Haneda Airport has reopened, but some planes will land at Narita Airport or Chubu Centrair International Airport. This is Tokyo.
Collapse of Toshiba , Daihatsu forgery , earth quake and now air disaster Japan has lost its mojo .
What no commication between traffic control or human error.
One will find out in the fullness of time.

Disasters don't just happen. They're a chain of critical events. The fact that only crew members perished, means that they stayed on board making sure passengers made it out of the plane safe.
Our deepest sympathy.
There were no passengers on board the Coast Guard plane. Did you even bother to listen to the video? 🙄
It's not the crew members on the commercial plane that perished, but those on a coast guard plane collided with the commercial plane and on its way to help victims of the earthquake, which makes it even more heartbreaking as they were killed on their mission to save other people :(
No the crew of the passenger plane was also safe, it was the crew of the coast guard plane that was killed. I dont believe there were any passengers on the coast guard plane, only crew. Tragic nonetheless.
The ignorance of some people is breathtaking-clearly you weren't paying attention to the news article.

This guy’s babbling is very annoying.
Unfortunate, however nippon doesn't know how to conduct safety rescue operations like they do in the us.they really need to take a page from our book and learn to do the job right without incidences like this.
All that this comment serves to do is inform everyone else how little you know about Japan, and how brainwashed you are into thinking that your country is the only one that knows how to do anything. Super ignorant and very much wrong
The reporter really needs to go back to class and learn how not to talk like a Trudeau as it makes the story sound a little embellished!😢

Omg how does this happen?? Did air traffic control not know the Coast Guard plane was on the runway??
Pay attention honey - yes they did - the coastguard plane was NOT WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE.

@@LornAuArcos32 You don't want to be my honey? That's not very nice😀. - regardless the ATC comms states that the coast guard plane was not supposed to be on the runway. - the families of the dead crew should be grateful no passengers were killed.
@@LornAuArcos32 No, they didn't. Apparently the CG plane was taxiing and told to hold short of the runway - instead they entered the runway and lined up. Meanwhile, the Airbus had been cleared to land with the assumption that the runway was clear, and landed on top of the CG plane. Why the CG plane entered the runway when they weren't cleared to do so, and why the Airbus didn't go around if/when it saw the CG plane... Hopefully the investigation will tell us that.
