The drone should have a hot-swappable battery pack. You land on the tower and it swaps the low-power pack for a new one in 15 seconds.

The space station will never be built, just a completely silly idea to say you can vary the gravity. I would like to know how in auto rotation the computer quickly identifies a landing spot as soon as the engine fails. It depends on the diameter and the direction of movement in relation to the rotation. Moving parallel on a large enough diameter you are ok. Movement perpendicular creates serious problems until it passes a given threshold. I read it was a 1/2 - 1 kilometer in diameter. But I’m not sure if that is a general rule or speculation.
