She is right: Stephen Sondheim is the Shakespeare of musical theater, and I daresay the closest to the Old Bard America will ever get. Loved Imelda in "Gypsy", catch it when you can on TV.

seamus1956 when I first saw Gypsy with her in it, I couldn’t separate the two. I was so disgusted when I watched it the first time, but when Roses Turn came on I completely forgot about Professor Umbridge lol
