The thing that amazes me more and more when I watch these videos is how quickly these players identify and read these situations. The plays take seconds to unfold, yet the film break down is a good 4 to 5 mins for us. The speed that they play at is amazing. This just makes me love the game more. Also, King is great and someone who clearly puts in the time. He has a new fan.
thedirtypanda they watch this over and over and over again and all the terms, techniques, schemes, and footwork he’s using, he’s been doing this since high school. At this level it’s now about studying hard and reading keys that you’ve picked up during that study.
I love how they are showing this to the fans. Search for Bill O’Brien coaching clinics. It’s a few short videos but it’s awesome to see what he did with NE and most teams do.
Literally the cupp play with Gurley Toss blew my mind. It's so cool to see players watch film but notice EVERYTHING.
As someone who loves watching football but never played, these are very interesting to watch and learn from
Desmond King is so underrated and versatile
Could play starting outside linebacker for some teams!
yeah he cool.. he on my legacy team..
A sad Jets Fan I had him on Jacksonville with Jalen and A.J. Needless to say, I just user the MLB.
True fans know he’s a beast
True
King is the most underrated CB in the league
Ikr I remember watching him in Iowa
I agree, after watching his breakdown i am sold this guy is the real deal.
@@jagsfanrick fr and he can return punts
He's definitely the best slot corner
Ess_ Rank Chris Harris wanna arguably better
people underestimate the mental part of such a physical game
Agreed! There are thousands on thousands of guys athletic enough to be pros, but the ones that make it and especially the stars are really intelligent and hard working. I love these videos because I love seeing how much preparation these guys put into the game and how much knowledge they have.
facts
Jerry rice!
Then y do the say the game is 80% mental 20% physical?? Lol
@@atate23 whoever says that is a liar. Football is way more mental than physical
Welcome to the Titans!
As an Aussie and an avid AFL fan, this sort of video is fantastic to help me understand your sport. Keep up the great work.
Wasn't even on the Top 100. What a shame. One of the best slot CBs in the game.
@Tyler Cross He's my favorite ⚡⚡#BoltUp
he got robbed big time 😤😤😤
Big snub
Will be this year
@@BennyNegroFromQueens with the Titans !! #TitanUp
Dont distract to the fact that King predicted his first NFL int was going to be a Pick 6. That was against the cowboys thanksgiving day.
it was the best Thanksgiving of my life lol
@@BOLT_TF_UP mines to bro
You love to hear an Iowa grad talk about wrestling no matter the sport
Welcome to Tennessee
Easily one of the smartest players I have seen do a film study! His explanations of the plays and responsibilities are spot on. The chargers are lucky to have such a talent on the team.
From a casual fan, this is fascinating. So much thought and intuition goes into goes into each play.
I love this “I’m just lookin for work” ⚡️
Welcome to Tennessee 💯
That first play was everything I need to see! Wow what a play by king
Damn DJ in that second play. I know this is about Desmond but that was a great play by Derwin. 2:07
It was definitely a good play by Derwin, but he should also make it, being unblocked.
Great vid. These help me appreciate the game way more.
Danny you’re that last comment I expected to see on this video
@@j4ckfosttv613 yeh seriously
Danny you like football?
danny mullen!!!!
Great intelligence and insight on the game. Desmond is emerging into a star. Excited to watch him play this season. #BoltUp
Great breakdown! Love the outside/inside leg alignment tendency
Baldy, all your film breakdown content for NFL is gold, love it.
It's crazy how much goes on in the heads of players in just a few seconds.
King is the best slot corner.
Best slot CB in the league, underrated.
When people talk about cbs they think of jalen Ramsey, Stephon Gilmore, Patrick Peterson, but Desmond king is underrated and everyone should know about him
...who says that?
You forgot about Kyle fuller
I'm very impressed. King is a stud man chargers fan got a hell of a football player
CHEVY B Desmond is a great CB and Punt Returner!! Go Chargers⚡️⚡️
Don’t forget the team that made Desmond King one of the best CB in the NFL
100% Agreed!!!!
#TITANUP
This is why it is so vital to eliminate tendencies. Too much film study to pick up on patterns. 💯
The way you can check the KC left tackle and see him scanning the field after motion went the other way on the Tyreek end around at the very end of the video was certainly a giveaway that the play was coming back that way. Good stuff defensively
Desmond King is Brilliant! Great player to have. Chargers are lucky to have him👍🏾
Game film study on the part of players and the intelligence to act on what you’ve watched on film is just amazing
I seriously love these NFL. Please keep doing them and get as many positions and players as possible. It's fascinating to see how the minds of the players themselves work.
I LOVE these analysis videos!
Welcome to Tennessee, young man.
You love to see his passion, glad to have him on the team!
Such a smart player. Communication, diagnosing plays, awareness... all of on show here.
So much great knowledge for young dbs.
One of the best to ever come through iowa
Agreed! Very nice in person
who here a titans fan lol

Damn this kids got really good football I.Q.
Super excited!!!
Love these videos!!
I love these videos, they are so technical but as a football nerd it is really cool to see how complex the game is and what the players are seeing and thinking
King should have been in top 100.
Even with the loss of Derwin James, the jackboyz are still deadly
James will be back in time for playoffs healthy ⚡⚡⚡⚡
We’ll make it this yr jackboyz are dangerous and our offense are monsters
Horseinapool the jackboyz? What’s that supposed to mean?
@@natenewtown3662 that's what some members of the chargers defense call themselves, the JACKBOYS cause they jack balls (jack means to steal)
You should watch Brett Kollmann's breakdown on James and then maybe you'll be a bit worried that he's missing.
Love these videos. Very enlightening. Keep 'em coming!
So far this breakdown taught me more about the inner workings of reads and line ups than any other interview. King is now on my radar as a Seahawks fan.
Ty for this study: amazing and I am a Patriots fan. GOD bless you
Crazy to see this perspective. A lot of these vids are people who are trying to MAKE the big play, but you can see that this guy plays it safe and allows the play to come to him.
Miss this guy back when he was at Iowa. Truly amazing. Can't wait until he gets the credit he deserves.
Great video! Desmond King was overlooked in the draft. Smart player, loved Hawkeye! Go hawks!
The ability to read what they're gonna do based on their feet placement is incredible. A whole lot more thought than I originally thought
this series is hands down one of the best on youtube
Snubbed on the top 100 list 🤧
😤😤😤😤😤
This was a very insightful video about the nuances of playing the most difficult position in NFL.
Desmond King is great. He was snubbed on the top 100 2 years in a row
I love the fact that Chargers are drafting real smart players and not just pure talent.
These vids are amazing. My son plays freshman football, and we watch together. Hope he can pick up keys to making great plays. Thanks for making this.
They gotta get Keenan Allen on this to talk about his footwork and how he kills his man off the line 99.9% of the time !!
This is so fun to watch!
I like the content. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Smart player. Shows how important it is to know you assignment, it’s not just go out there and hit.
Smartest db duo and just added Chris Harris. Ah man this year gonna be 🔒
Titan Up ⚔️💯⚔️
My favorite film session so far of the series
Great knowledgeable CB, our secondary stacked Derwin didn't get DROY i believe Nasir Adderley will this szn⚡️⚡️‼️💧
CZcams recommended this when he got traded to the Titans
He sounds and plays like a seasoned vet. Great knowledge of the game, I could listen to him break down film all day
That was awesome. Respect.
Excellent work..
Awesome analysis, we don't get to see much of this. As a Hawkeye fan, I've been watching him for a while. So glad to see him tearing it up in the league.
Ik he was good but he is elite he made sum tuff plays
That’s good stuff right there. 🤙🏽☘️
I love the episodes like this one or Doug Baldwin or Akiem Hicks when you can see the thought they put into the game
Desmond King 🔥🔥
I freaking LOVE this dude and as a Cowboys fan I STILL cant believe they didn't draft him or Kittle in 2017. Two positions they really needed two steals that I knew would be BALLERS
King making plays against some of the best run blocking rec in the game.. I remember the discussion of who was the better blocker between JuJu and Cooper, King just answered with neither one of them can block so....
Favorite episode
I learned so much
Wow smart dude for sure picking up his card madden now
that's what you get with an Iowa product, smart, coachable, knows how to do his job and will make the people around them better and more accountable
The NFL is all about preparation and intelligence, more so than any sport I think.
Golf comes close, but I cant think of anything else like it
By far the best show the NFL puts out
One of the bestttttt
Love how he didn’t even remember Kupp’s name back then 😂😂
Titan Up!!!
Welcome to Pittsburgh!!
Any titans fans here ?
Titan up
Kenny Moore II is still the most underrated Slot Corner in the league, as he plays the 2nd corner in most the Colts 4-3 alignment. Kenny Moore II had the same number of INT's (3) more Sacks (1.5) and pressures, as Desmond King had no sacks. Kenny had 1 additional Pass Defense (14) and played on a much weaker defense. His recent payday making him the highest-paid slot corner in the league at least makes me happy. Much love to King though, he is #2.
A true all pro. Dude has it all. BEAST
That’s elite film study! So glad he is in Pittsburgh. We will see what he is made of.
I’m still salty he wasn’t on the top 100.
Love it!
The fact that these defensive players can break down these plays mentally in seconds is far more impressive then any physical attributes.
Wow. He saw just where Cupps foot was and it told him what play it was. Incredible.
Hard to believe there is so much a player looks for in personnel and formation
True students of the game
Best slot corner in the league slept on
Excellent technique
Wasn't exactly happy with the Highlights, but great breakdown. Nicely done. Smart DB.
These videos are dope. Kings a stud DB! Chargers all day baby!!!
Glad to have him in two tone blue #injrobwetrust
Smart kid. Good job!
People are saying he’s underrated but he was voted All Pro..not too overrated
Pure awesome. I use to play foot all out of pure ability. Now sadly I understand how to think. However...its all about film study
Fantastic! Well explained, nice graphics, the works. Just wish they had one play where Mr. King got beat, and why, and what he learned from it.
