Just fast forward until the kid stops shaking the cam. Got some good points. (Actually mate, you should put something like this in the description.)
Fastening cables with nail clips- 1:30 - Follow the mortar lines. Put the nails below the cable.
Drilling - 4:20 - 18 inches long 8mm drill for phone cables, and drill downwards from inside out using hammer mode.
Using pin plugs on tougher surfaces - 9:06
    Thumbs up.

    For inside jobs:
I like those cable ducts with adhesive on the back (you need to screw them in place anyway), especially if you run multiple cables. It looks better than "raw" cable and are often not that eyecatching.

Internal for baseboards if you're in a room with carpet you can usually tuck the cable UNDER the baseboard as there is a gap for the carpet and carpet tack. Then it's 100% hidden and doesn't even need any fastening.

+00bikeboy Hi, yes I agree, I think I did mention in some part of the video about taking the drill off hammer for the last bit to try and prevent breaking out the brick and also angling the hole downwards and having a drip loop to stop water running down the cable. Going through wooden door frame or window frame is a lot easier with much less chance of damage but there is more chance of leading to wood rot over the years. Thanks Vince

Never hammer into mortar.Mortar may feel hard by touch, but it is very brittle. Especially the cheap shit newer builder's use. It's just there to fill and seal the bricks .the bricks are doing the work. A method anyone can use is to drill into the brick with a small bit and but a wall plug and use a scew instaed of nail. Never on mortar, it will crack look bad and more importantly give you more work.

For internal cabling, if you have fitted carpets (with gripper rods) abutting against your skirting boards, is it feasible to pull back the carpet and tack the cable to the floor, keeping it out of sight altogether? What puts me off trying is the fear it won't be easy refitting the carpet.

Are those installations really allowed in the UK or by local regulations? Because running cables outside is often prohibited by historic preservation authority here :-/ . It is also something which calls metal thieves (yes, even those thin cables... or vandals). Not mentioned that it is not considered as secure way how to lead it since anybody can tap on that wire. That is the reason why national telco network service provider not install this way. Only in case of real trouble. Last and not at least there is a problem with insulation layers on top of concrete or bricks. You have to use different hatches and also it differs from technology to technology because you can have more than one layer of polystyrene or different plaster technology.
