as someone who's had my fair share of concussions (most were baseball related, and one ended my career) I can confirm, I was "good" every time too... head injuries are nothing to play with.
Yeah this happens unfortunately where sports lead to concussions to many times. But also as a player I would never voluntarily sit as a player unless an injury was so painful and chronic that I couldn’t take it any more.
Almost a week ago in my tournament I got a concussion and I kept saying I was fine because I was in denial and didn’t realize a 78 mph fastball to the head would give you a concussion But the umpire was like him and would not let me go to first base and let a pinch runner go while our team staff made sure I was okay to run we need more umpires like that 😊
I was playing catcher one year and batter hit the ball and slung the bat, from what I remember, at the same time and slung the bat backwards hitting me in the dome with my helmet on. I’ve never been right since that day. All I remember from that night is getting home and throwing up in the bushes outside my front door and I woke up in the hospital in my moms lap as she was begging me not to fall asleep and to stay awake. A few visits to children’s hospital in Birmingham and my neurologist diagnosed me with sudden onset migraine headaches and said that injury literally flipped on a light switch in my brain to where now I get super migraine headaches several times a week. This was 17 years ago.
When my mother was little they were playing around in a baseball field and one of the kids got hit like that in head the pitcher threw it and it his head he said he was okay knocking at the door in his house for his mother to open once she did, he was laying down in the front dead it really is some serious stuff.

Blud had them mickley mantle cleat jawns
Every umpire that does my daughters sports do this. So it's not out of the ordinary.
Before umpire said your not good. Pitcher put his hands up like wat am I doing.. dang man. Respect to all parties
May God bless you all
Good work..I’ve seen it happen few times over my years playing . He seemed hair off there afterwards and safety is everything. Injury’s to the brain can be serious ..Hope he just got rattled barely and was fine soon after !
My boy suffered 2 concussions in one football game last year cause he wasn’t looked over proper and hasn’t been the same since..thank you so much for looking after this kid like that!!!
Same happened to me and i wish him the best brother . It hasnt been easy for me. I sustained a helmet to helmet that knocked me off my feet while i was unconscious i slammed my head into the ground a second time causing 2nd contact. I immediately started seizing up and and lost most of the memory from that day. Its been almost 10 years and i still have lasting issue from it. I was never able to play contact sports again forsure.
Not a concussion dummy.
Was you watching the game
Good job we need more like you on the diamond
Absolutely lots of them are not kind enough ❤
Thank you Blue!
Good catch by the ref
Respect to the pitcher for leaving the mound to check on him. you can tell it definitely wasn't intentional.
That’s when you go, “How many fingers am I holding up” ✌🏼
He obviously had a pinch runner ready for him when he got on, he just was flustered didn't get him bad
Bro you good god love you
Dang that pitcher tryna end lives.
as someone who's had my fair share of concussions (most were baseball related, and one ended my career) I can confirm, I was "good" every time too... head injuries are nothing to play with.
He lowkey ate that shi
We need more umps that are not blind
That matt they stand on is gonna snap an ankle on the right handed batter. But I’m glad the kid was ok and good job ump for making sure
This is the umpire I try to be when on the field.
Yeah this happens unfortunately where sports lead to concussions to many times. But also as a player I would never voluntarily sit as a player unless an injury was so painful and chronic that I couldn’t take it any more.
Did he get hit in the head he looks so confused needs tj get checked by a dr asap
You're right. I do need to see a Dr. Thanks
Almost a week ago in my tournament I got a concussion and I kept saying I was fine because I was in denial and didn’t realize a 78 mph fastball to the head would give you a concussion
But the umpire was like him and would not let me go to first base and let a pinch runner go while our team staff made sure I was okay to run we need more umpires like that 😊
It’s cool the catcher was thinking the same as umpire.
Just flustered
That pitchers caps out at 75 mph lol
All umps do this
I am so slow that I didn’t realize the kid had a concussion
When my mother was little they were playing around in a baseball field and one of the kids got hit like that in head the pitcher threw it and it his head he said he was okay knocking at the door in his house for his mother to open once she did, he was laying down in the front dead it really is some serious stuff.
