  • About the Talk:
    This talk explores the current opportunities for research in a variety of Archives, records that have been digitized, and the kinds of records that are available. Many restrictions will also be discussed. IGRA (The Israel Genealogy Research Association) is in the forefront of the records revolution in Israel, using volunteers in each phase of this journey. Hear about the focus of the IGRA database collection and the direction for the future.
    About the Speaker:
    Garri Regev, native of Rochester, NY, has lived in Israel since 1978 and has been doing genealogical research for over 25 years. She has taught seminars, webinars and courses in Genealogy to a variety of adult and teen groups. In addition, she has spoken at eleven IAJGS Conferences and was involved in programming and running the 2015 IAJGS Conference in Jerusalem. Garri is a founding member and President of IGRA (Israel Genealogy Research Association). Garri currently volunteers at the Genealogy Center at the National Library of Israel and the Central Zionist Archives and serves as a Vice-President of LitvakSIG.
