I have both the Megazord and Dragonzord. When I was 28 yo or so, my 12 yo cousin come home for Xmas. I was working the night shift that day. The next day when he left I discovered he took the sabertooth zord (along libra dohko - from Saint Seiya - and parts from his armor), and broke several parts of the Dragonzord, tryceratops' horn, pyterodactyl's wings and more... Worst Xmas ever.

I was a kid in 94. My parents had 9 of us. Toys wasn't a priority. My brothers and I would cut out the toys r us adds of the mega zords and place it under our pillows hoping one day it'll come true. It never did. As an adult now I make enough to buy whatever I want. And yes I have all the zords and sh figuarts rangers

@@muhammadsyafiq1004 perhaps in the 80's yes, I remember them as a kid. But the poster who was 6 during the MMPR era in 93' would not understand this. Power Rangers megazord was the last toy I got at 10 years old, between 93-97 television programming changed here in NA (Canada for me) or Toronto.
I still have the originals at home after owning them for close to 30 years. This brings so much memories.

The fact that Soul of Chogokin managed to remake it into a better model being able to uphold the dragonzord in place literally makes it much more worth buying now
This brings back so many memories, when I was a kid my parents could only afford one at a time so one year for my birthday and Christmas they got the megazord the next year the dragonzord! I used to spend hours playing with them and pretending they would fight Rita and lord zedds monsters! I miss those days thank you for helping me relive my childhood!

Dragonzord Battle Mode was my favorite form. Too bad it wasn't used that often; at least in the US version anyway. Lets face it, we mostly came here to see the Dragonzord.

MMPR's toyline definitely had the best Ultrazord combination in design and playability; both the original and this newer set. The joints allowing for more poses is pretty awesome and I love the detachable parts on the Dragonzord's tail. Much more convenient.

@@paradeoxys0284 nothing he said really deserves the distinction. Zyuranger and MMPR, in terms of design and toys, are practically interchangeable. Hell, this very video uses both english and japanese names.
Gotta admit, even though I grew up preferring the design of the Mythical Qi Beasts and DaiRenOh from Dairanger, it is pretty cool how they made it possible to combine all 6 Zyu Beasts together and another way to combine them with a 7th Beast. For the Qi Beasts, you can only combine the 5 including RyuuSeiOh or just 5 including Wong Tiger; and there is no way to combine any of them with DaiJinRyuu. I think that is the DaiRanger setup's only drawback.

these are honestly perfectly engineered. we all know on the show the transformations were possible but to be able to design models that are so close to the originals AND combine....amazing the original models for the show barely even combined
Yes, that's right, in the movie they will use different models for each purpose. As for this version of SOC, they must be beautiful individually, must be able to fuse together, and the robot form must also be beautiful.

@@Talos2kX As far as I know, the first round sword is due to the toy safety standards for children, so the second production is the hard round plastic head, with the third production is the soft round plastic head.

These were the zord toys I wish I had as a child. Much more like the ones on the show than the ones that came out at the time.
the team for Soul of Chogokin are GODS... no version released in the Americas (not even the Legacy ones) have this level of detail and care put into them... all of the individual zords are far more articulated than any of their other versions... when I saw the Tyrannosaurus's tail articulation, my mind was blown... and when I saw how the connectors are hidden until you want to put them all together, I was completely sold... this entire set might cost an arm and a leg, but for any Power Rangers or Zyuranger fan, it's an absolute MUST!!!

Absolutely gorgeous. I thought my 1990s toys of them were awesome but those are a whole new level! Love the increased accuracy to the suits used in the show of the T-Rex and Dragonzord as opposed to the models used for transformations and the better articulation on the others. Never knew the cannons were stored in T-Rex’s chest!
Never liked the MegaDragonzord with Dragonzord’s tail and chest attached though (should have just used them as the staff Dragonzord battle mode had).
Anyone else remember that toy Titanus came with some plastic bits that clipped on Tank Mode so it could tow it?

I know what you mean bro. I ended up selling all of my Legacy figures on Ebay (sold for a great price I might add). You could probably still sell them for a good amount on Ebay and have enough to buy the entire SoC set and have some change left over. Just a suggestion 😁

The Japanese versions of these seem like they have A LOT more articulation in individual zord modes, but I might be remembering wrong
No ure right they do i remember my triceratops and the tiger never moved as much as that.
That's cause this is the soul of chogokin version of the zords. It's a redone version of all the zords but with added articulation and stuff like painted details instead of the stickers of the original.

Yikes. Daizyuzin's chrome did not age well. Makes me worried for Brachion and Caesar. Kinda wish these guys were smaller. On the off-chance I'd ever have the money for them, I'd like to have put them with the S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla figures, but these guys are just WAY too big. Though in all likelihood I'd never be able to afford either these guys or any SHM figures.
That's right, S.H.Monster is too small for Soul Of Chogokin, it's not good for you to put them together. ^^

If you watch the toy review of jobby the hong on this one (both megazord and dragonzord) he stated that the chrome paint of this toyline don't age well, and for a hefty price of 200 to 300$ on the online market, that says alot. But still i hope they release a soul of chogokin ryosolger five knights with complete articulation (in which kinda hard to pulloff since it's has some elements of lego in it)
