Beauty woody, I hunt in Northern Ontario so I get the first crack at basically all waterfowl hunting in North America, usually our Woodies leave by mid October, this year was the latest I have ever seen ducks stay, we had a pretty late freeze but it was sudden which isn't normal, seen Woodies in November and even had Mallards still migrating down from Hudson bay in December, swamps and lakes already had half a foot ice ice by that point so they were hanging around rapids where the water stayed open, super super unusual year

That close shot they missed reminds me of my first time timber hunting. Normally hunt flooded marsh and the average shot is 20-30yds, going into timber and getting shots inside 10yds felt so strange and it took some real adjustment to get dialed in.
Adam just needs to choose his lead, then go some more. Then he'll be a dead eye.

Where I hunt at in NC, its more wood ducks than anything.
We killed a hen golden eye this past weekend in Mississippi. We had no idea what kind of duck it was. None the less pumped up about it tho.

I've never done it. It might work, but these new EVA decoys don't have paint loss issues as much as the old hard plastic ones

I don’t get how you manage to hit anything They’re so far away, and you’re only using ironsights. I hunt small game, but Ive always used a scope. The same exact scope, on the same exact gun, since I was a teenager to be precise. If you guys can hit targets that far without one then I should learn too.
