Excellent Camper! Ww ended up with the 2022 Jayco 264 BH, 4 foot longer, Jackknife couch, no outside kitchen, but added a outside mini-fridge, slightly different floor plan, but same bunk beds in back, and Queen up front. We love ours, and are very happy with it! Thank you for the gr8 video!
Love that rv. You make the same good points my husband makes. N/S bed, no slide, awning not covering outdoor kitchen, dual axils, ect. All the things we prefer.
Congrats on the new camper, it's beautiful & I love the layout. We avoid slides for the same reason, they seem to break a lot. We also like the north/south bed, we level the head of the bed just slightly higher. Love the outside kitchen & the steps are sturdy. The interior is nice...we replaced our dinette with a work space in order to work from the road. Nice big fridge & oven too! Ducted AC is awesome. We might do a minisplit, they are quiet. Love this camper layout. Just got done camping with some buddies and one of them went to put their slide in and water started coming in. More and more I find myself being completely fine without the slides. Hoping to get one of these for me and my family at some point.
I don't have confidence in slides, I think the deep slides put to much pressure on the wall. If I ever tried a slide it would likely be a slide that moves 15" or less. Thanks for watching. PS> Check out the Transcend 247 BH.
@@BikesBoatsBivouacs only issue with that one is weight. I have a tow capacity of 7,000lbs and that’s where the 224bh really stands out. Enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids and keeps at just over 5,000lbs.
Congratulations! Very nice looking camper, your gonna enjoy the upgrades from you last one! Not having to crawl over your spouse to get out of bed is a huge plus! Enjoy and hope to see you out one of these days!
Love all the exterior features! We 100% agree with you on the slides, we believe they are more trouble than they are worth. We use our kitchenette as a couch also, but ours is smaller so it is easier to do. Those bunks are super tight, but love the bathroom! Nice job
Very nice rv. good point about the awning over cooking areas. never thought of it but makes sense. Wishing you many miles of safe travels. We don't like slides either.
Sharp new camper, Scott. Nice pass-through storage and outdoor kitchen. Love the walk-around north south bed. The east-west bed was the one thing we disliked about the Roadtrek. Nice bunk beds. Bathroom looks like it has plenty of room. Looks like you are ready for a new season of camping next year, Scott & Marie! ~Bob and Sue
Living in PA is always Eagles! New stickers will be applied in a future video and of course I have a Steve Turtle sticker being applied. Thanks for watching.
Looks like a nice rig. If we were to get a manufactured rv, we would want no slides. Too many peeps I know have had issues with them. Not worth the trouble. Great video!
Looks like a very sweet rig. Setup very well. If I could find something that would work for us with no slides I would be all over it. Just one less thing to worry about. Again congrats on the rig. Looks like it will make you a great rig. Safe travels.
You really stepped it up.. I love the room in the shower which is must for us bigger guys and it appears that you have plenty of storage which is a premium any any RV. I can wait to see your adventure with it. I would also like to hear your thoughts on how it tows. This maybe the perfect rig for my sister. Thanks for sharing..
Hi Herbie, it tows easier than my previous rig because of the weight distribution hitch, If you sister lives near you, we can make arrangements for you two to come out and check it out. Thanks for watching.
Nice really like it agreed with u about the slider I had leaking issues had replace the floor it took me all day yikes no more that’s why I look I at 21 but yours are nicer thanks for sharing
Congrats! Love love the new rig. A lot of new updates for a 27 ft and you can get into so many great places. PETES RV sounds great. And loved the map, we are already subscribed so we like always gave it a thumbs up. Hope to see you around.
You nailed it with that shower requirement. That's a must on our next rig. No more head in the skylight. On another note, for your electric hookup on your garage, is that only 2 wires coming out? Could be just the way it looked on the camera but it should be 3. #10 if you are putting in a 120volt 30amp outlet.
Question did you look at the Jayco 264bh when you purchased this? I am stuck between the similar camper you have and the 264bh. The weight and lengths are similar. I see the bathroom in yours is better but having that extra couch and half privacy wall is also important to my wife. Your thoughts please. Thanks for your help and video as I would be purchasing from Pete’s. I will advise them of your help and reviews.
Hi Jeremy, I did look at the 264 but I wanted to go a bit smaller. One thing I noticed is the larger the rig the fewer campsites there are for your rig. The one thing I don't like are slides. Nearly everyone I know who has a rig with slides ends up with a problem. I think you will be happy with either unit. I went to this unit from a small toyhauler because we now have grandkids and are doing longer trips. Thanks for watching.
I have the same KZ camper you did. We like it, but we can use some more space and storage. I am looking at the Jayco Octane 222 toy hauler. Why didn't you go with another toy hauler? Did you like the KZ? Why didn't you go with another KZ?
I did like the KZ and I was interested in the Escape 230 bh but the availability and pricing were not conducive to a deal. My bike trips are generally over the road and separate from my camping trips and with young grandchildren starting to camp and loving it, I decided the bunks were needed more. Thanks for watching.
i just bought this rig 2022, mostly the same. you said the hmi cable is for playing dvds , how ? i have the cable but i don't see a slot for the dvd? my frig. is just 12v. i did get the solor package so its a win win.
On my rig, the DVD player is built into the stereo system near the TV. The HDMI cable is hanging out the side to connect to the TV. Thanks for watching.
My rides tend to be when I am not using the camper. I do have another trailer for hauling the bikes that will work with my wife's car if we are taking the camper. Thanks for watching.
I use it on my garden trailer but I do have a wheel chock I could reinstall on the other trailer. Let me know if you are interested and what you would be willing to pay.
@@BikesBoatsBivouacs could you measure the bar for me and what chock is on that? is it the roll on and do you think it would fit a 16 street glide wheel?
Yep, I realized that most of my motorcycle trips didn't involve the camper, so we decided on more space for camping and will do our extended motorcycle rides with a tent, cabins or motels. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the extensive tour. I expect to be purchasing mine early next year.
We really enjoy our rig. I've had it from Key West to Canada with no problems. Thanks for watching.
Just a side note, Jayco labels the bunk beds weird, they are both 300lb bunks. Combined 600lb. The bottom is 300 and the top is 300.
When I checked they verified that the bunks are 600 lbs each. Thanks for watching.
