  • Is there really such a thing as "too soon" when it comes to teaching baby some great sleep skills? Not in my opinion. Why not start on day one?

My problem is still putting her down for a nap. My LO is 2 months old and I read 2 month olds only have about an hour to an hour and 45mins of awake time. So I try putting her to sleep around those times but she keeps fighting me. It takes me about 2-3 hours of struggling to put her down for a nap. I’ve tried swaddling, bouncing ball, binky, rocking her. But it just doesn’t work

At Home with Riana Anaïs My daughters 3 months old now. We finally got her sleeping through the night and napping well. She still fights the naps from time to time but she eventually goes down. We just use either a binky or bottle to put her to sleep

What if after you do all these things in 45 min mark and lay the baby down and they still dont go to sleep?

The 45 mins mark is very helpful, I've tried yesterday and it made my life lots more easier. But I'm still facing another challenge, once she falls in sleep, she'd wake up easily. Anyone has good idea how to make them sleep sound? Thanks

It's funny how sensitive people are when they hear the term "sleep training". A newborns sleep cycle is short. You have to incorporate that in a baby's daily sleep regime. And there's nothing wrong with calling it sleep training. You are guiding him or her based on his or her needs.

Dear Dana , I watched some of your videos. What do you suggest doing when the baby gets scared in her sleep..? I dunno whether it's bad dreams she has but she has a tendency to get scared n waking up in her sleep.

Sampriti Datta do u swaddle her? Babies have an startle reflex when they are newborns that causes them to flail their arms and wake themselves up
