Defending your Marshall to your last dying breath, taking down an elder dragon and coming home after a massive war, to relax the horrors you faced, knowing there will always be more adventures to come, and hearing this song to give you that sense of calm. The team that made the game knew what they were doing when they made this song.

It sounds like viking music. i love it. Viking has calming instruments in it. Like the violin, lute, what we call bone pianos, and ect. plus the beautiful opera voice. I can sing that way only in a deeper tone.

I disliked it, because it's not the full song. Yes it has lyrics and blabla, but if i hear the song, ich want the complete one and not this "thing" where 30 seconds are missing.
It's hard to explain because the story is dynamic depending on your race. But generally the races of Tyria (the world of Gw2) are fighting when a threat arises that could destroy Tyria. Don't wanna spoil the story too much but it's basically a Dragon and you kind of have to try to unite the races in Tyria whilst fighting this dragons minions and take down the dragon itself. Thats the base game story (it's more than that I literally didnt do it justice), but the expansion pack provides even more storylines and maps. You just need to try the game xD
ok, so the game has stories with chapters, it starts off kinda like a tutorial saying who you are and all that. Then trouble occurs with an elder dragon called Zhaitan. He baisically makes zombies in some faraway land but the zombies are coming closer and people want to get rid of them so in turn they kill him. Then ANOTHER dragon comes called Mordremoth which eats ley energy and makes zombies aswell but instead he gets his minions to kill Sylvari which is one of the five races in the game. Sylvari are human-plant hybrids and all the hippies choose that race. So then you heroically kill them and then ANOTHER elder dragon appears called Primordius. Now I would go on but (1.you are probably bored at this point and (2. I have not finished the story yet :P The story actually has a whole lot more action in it but that is what you mainly do in it.
Epic dragons, vast landscapes, amazing music, beautiful detailed scenery, developed characters, trinities, battles, group events, etc. Edit: And not all Sylvari players are hippies.
Well the song is used for the Guild Wars 2 game as you know it but, Asja Kadric (singer), recently stated that this song reminds her of a young boy in orphanage that she saw back then when they were recording it, so she found her emotional inspiration in that moment :)
the lyrics is totaly wrong on that path:: distand songs of melodies scoring through the night to our hearts Auroras makes a circumstance in a siltude of our life. and on that path: darknes sings a violent song yet your hope can stile rise up.
