German dub is really good as well. I recorded this when i was 12 and it was shown on television late at night. My dad let me record it on our VHS recorder because it was, and i quote his words, "a really cool cartoon". I still have that casette.
When yu's eyes went grey his mercy turned off. I get the same way, I get extremely quiet. People who know me know I'm dangerous when I get like that. It's like another person has taken over my mind and this person has no pity. I don't get tired nor do I feel pain, although I black out mentally and I have to be told what I did.
Reading the manga since it's been re released and this movie does it dirty, this plotline is unnecessary for a movie based on a manga of twists and turns that tries to incorporate several plot elements that should be saved for a show rather than being shoehorned in for a 90 minute long movie.
It's better subbed, either version, because they changed too much of the dialogue in the dub. (I had this on bootleg VHS in the 90s and those subtitles are even more explicit than the translation on the DVD's English subtitles.)
Sound of that gatling gun is butter to my ears.
One of ADV Films' best dubs under Matt Greenfield's direction.
The animation is breathtaking.
90s English voice acting was actually....good lol
Been trying to find this movie for years!!
Anime boy soldier fights big man with gatling gun as arm was my search on youtube and google!
It's called spriggan and can be watched here
dubbedanime.biz/?s=Spriggan+
This movie was the Bourne Identity of anime.
I mean I can actually understand what is happening in the action scenes so...
It doesn't happen often, but having seen both version, I gotta say the English voice acting is better than the original Japanese one.

I use to watch this when i was a school boy... best cartoon movie.. like final fantasy; vampire hunter.. etc
Best fight scene of all the anime i've watched.
Man this was awesome the first time I saw it.
The French spriggan is a werewolf in the manga
When I watched this originally I had read the manga and really hoped that scene was going to happen
@@robbrindlowyeah, the ommission of Jean's lycanthropy is one of the big downsides of the movie.
I just simply forgot how badass this movie was
目の色が変わった時、スーパーサイヤ人に変わったみたいにカッコええー
Yeah yu's entrance was like pure badassery. I wish I could punch through a fcking truck. O_o
Reminds me a bit of Metal Gear Solid.
"you missed"
Spriggan is the name of this awesomesauce anime!
