I've been driving a 2017 Axia SE for almost 4 years. Good little car, easy to park, cheap to run and maintain. Average fuel consumption is about 17.5km/l. Really slow to pick up, but you'll learn to analyze the road ahead and plan your throttle accordingly to go faster. NVH levels is ok for this price point, but a lot of wind noise above 90km/h. After I changed the factory Hankook Kinergy tyres to Michelin Energy XM2+, NVH levels especially road noise reduced a lot 🚗

I've upgraded a few thing in it, among them are the head unit (now a 10" touch screen android based unit), a reverse camera and dashcam. It is a good car if you are single or newly wed without any children. But once you have a kid, it is best to change to another car as this car's boot quite small. For me personally, I can't fit a 22" luggage with a stroller inside the boot. So usually for balik kampung or holiday trip, the boot is meant for the luggage while the backseat with a babyseat and a stroller next to it. Here's my take on my ownership experience, I was one of the first few who collected this facelift Axia Advance in 2019 Nov. It's still quite rare to see this new facelift advance model on the roads.
    Massive Cons:
    1. Interior is small, width wise especially on the driver's seat. I constantly have to lean in as there is almost no space between me and the driver's door. Ergonomics of the driver's seat is seriously poor. I've been getting back and shoulder aches since driving it. If you've got wide shoulders/an athlete/gym buff, forget about it. Seriously uncomfortable. Worse when you drive long distance. Unless you're 150cm tall and weigh 45kg, it will be somewhat comfortable for you la I guess.
    2. Regular service at Perodua SC is seriously not cheap at all. It's almost the same price as I would send my Vios to Toyota SC. Car is half the price of a Vios but service cost is about the same. It's my first time owning a Perodua.
    3. The paint is seriously thin. Just from stone chips, you could see bare metal on my front bonet. This occured just a mere few days after collecting my car. Such a joke.
    4. Interior plastic easily scratches and impossible to remove.
    5. Front windscreen is of poor quality, I've got about 5 small cracks from stone chips.
    6. It is seriously under powered.
    Pros:
    1. Well, it's a cute small car. The very reason I bought one to use as my daily driver - low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs (which wasn't the case for the latter as I found out later). Fuel consumption after 35,000km averages at 16.7km/l.
    2. Safety features - TC, ASA2.0, VSC for 43k, ok lah.
To buy or not to buy an Axia?
Honestly, unless you have a specific reason to do so i.e. a cheap daily driver, don't bother.

I have previously own a Kancil, Kenari, Kembara and Viva. All of them have not given any major problems (to be fair) At this very moment I am a proud owner of 1) Axia SE (2 generation) 2) Alza (2 generation) both in 2018. But still keeping a 2014 Myvi Lagi Best (2version) I have read many review posting about the Axia. I am not going into comparison in pricing, consumption and specs. For a car like the Axia, it is a good buy. It may not be that comfortable like their bigger brothers, but end of the day it still serve the purpose. For you guys who opt for power pickup, try switching off the ECO setting. Mine, I switch it off. My personal opinion, it's a beautiful car. Have driven to Genting and Cameron Highlands without any problem with 4person.

Saga Premium sounds cheap but not everyone wants a big car for daily drive... infact... getting inside Saga Premium doesnt make u feel premium at all... no leather steering wrapped, no electric folding mirrors, no keyless entry, no push start/stop button and so on... so, thats why it was cheap... but when comes to fuel economy... Axia will be the best options... infact, both Axia and Saga Premium scored 4 star ASEAN NCAP test crash... with the NFL Axia AV with ESC and ASA 2.0... it should be better than Saga

For that price point, not sure if one can justify the Perodua Axia as there's the Proton Saga to consider instead, as the Saga overall feels and drives like the more accomplished product in almost every single way. Not to mention the truly awful driving position and uncomfortable seats, the overly heavy and lifeless steering, are my biggest turn offs for the Axia and it doesn't really make sense to go up to the higher variants.
If it's the ONLY car you need, I'd still prefer the Saga as it gives you the things that you REALLY need. Actual comfort and the advantage of a large boot.

It's a boring car and that's okay. Hopefully If I got a job and my current hand me down '85 saga isn't cutting out for daily driving then, maybe this or the new saga. Even if I am confident the old saga can drive 500km+ balik kampung (west to east sabah) the constant nagging and anxieties I get from the family will prevent me from doing it. So this is a nice insurance.

Picanto laju mcm pelesit kat highway.

@@jrusop1098 bro, setuju.

Model korea lagi better drpd model Japan, wlpn model Japan sparepart berlambak tapi hakikatnya model Japan skrg parts x tahan.. Model p2 skrg kalau keluar showroom sure ada je masalah dan terpaksa pergi SC..
Hyundai/ Kia all model skrg dh jadi model global. car Korea mesti ikut spec Europe atau kehendak citarasa org Europe, tu sebab Hyundai/KIA kat Europe dpt sambutan, kalau model Toyota hanya harapkan yaris dan Rav4, model japan lain tidak termasuk 100 list jualan. wlpn FK8 powerful tapi x boleh lawan jualan i30N.. Picanto and Rio termasuk 100 list jumlah jualan, so kat Europe brand yg laku VW group, Hyundai/KIA last Toyota, model japan lain masuk others list .
bukan sy nk bermegah dgn brand Korea, tetapi mereka menghasilkan produk yg terbaik dan sangat mementingkan safety and bandling, petrol pun jimat jugak..
