      @@Emon31415 actually 80% of the coaches notice these things, they don't have the absolute defensive titans for players like nurse and stevens had at their disposal, so they can't affect the game as much. nurse and stevens (and spo) are certainly THE best coaches in the game atm, but the rest of the coaches aren't as far behind as you might think, they do not have the excellent defensive iq and versatility that the raptors and the celtics units had though.

      Clippers had no facilitators and their bench couldn't play defense. Basically, the bench gave up the leads the starters created, and no one could consistently get the role players involved, so the clippers relied heavily on iso ball which is a high variance strategy, which explains the huge peaks and valleys from Kawhi and PG.

      My thoughts:
      1. No facilitators besides Kawhi who isn't really who you want to be your lead play initiator despite improving.
      2. Harrell and Lou getting absolutely shredded on defense and playing too much
      3. Too much freelance offense, not many plays being ran, could have made things easier.
      4. PG just shrinking, not hitting shots or being aggressive.

    That Kemba dime is one of the greatest passes in NBA history. The balls/court awareness to be able to find that with the game on the line is crazy, especially cuz smart was WIDE open

    8:55 Raptors SLOB: Horizontal stack with two guards getting open in succession, then PG sets up Hammer play: PG passes to high post and gets handback on right side, PG then drives baseline while hammer screen is set on opposite side....same play run at 9:13 by Raptors out of live transition situation: hammer action can flow into ball screen by hammer screener, with other big going to weak side dunker's spot and two shooters spacing out to 3pt line on weakside (*** possible relay pass from big to big for roll)

    • @TerryDBlack
      @TerryDBlack Před 3 lety +24

      @@LokeSenpai I guess my point was that Kawhi is given all the credit for the chip last year, but Kyle also led his team to a Game 7 in the semi's this year... no one (except people that actually watch the Raptors play) saw that coming. So I guess my point is that Kyle and the Raptors need more respect than they ever get
