It could be that there were humans who have become greedy, out for the Miraculous, and therefore the kwami's. Unless in the video they were at the Temple of the Guardians, than I would say that the temple was attacked and she sent them away. But that's just my guess. I've seen the video they are reacting to tons of times, but haven't really looked into the creator's AU in that vid and why Marinette had sent the kwami's away.
you know I kind of wish that in the actual series that they explained how come marinette is so strong because they have hinted multiple times that combining the ladybug and cat miraculous would pretty much kill the one that attempted it but in the season 5 finale marinette combined them and it didn't harm her in any way.
this is kind breaking laws, tiki has been around for thousands of years, which means there were more than 4 past owners + the maker. I'm also pretty sure the past holders only lose their miraculouses if their identity is revealed or that they are to old, so most of these should be way older and probably dead.
