2022 AAPRCO Sugarland Limited photo run-by over Miami Canal.

In April of 2022, AAPRCO organized an all private car and rare mileage excursion on the U.S. Sugar Corporation's South Central Florida Express Railroad.
SCFE had acquired and rebuilt a steam locomotive, the #148 Sugar Express, a retired former Florida East Coast Railway locomotive. The historic private cars traveled from Miami, FL, as an Amtrak special train and was handed over to the SCXF at Sebring, FL. The cars moved to Clewiston, FL, and spent several days traveling around the railroad.
As part of the excursion several photo run-bys were planned. The passengers were able to de-train and the equipment was backed up and then run past an organized photo line. This particular location was over the Miami Canal several miles south of Lake Harbor, FL.
