1. why aren't you using the Wix GA4 integration instead of the GTM?
2. you said that the reason to track pageviews the way you do, is because Wix uses SPA. what if my Wix website has multiple URLs?

Hi.. After following all set up guide GTM and GA4, my GTM can't connect to the URL of my Wix website. Why is that?
This seemed to work great... but since creating the custom event tag my GA4 debug stream is no longer showing any activity on my site... any idea why?
What if we have added GTM script directly on the WIX website code? In this case, I don't see such Custom Pageview event. Hope these additional set-up is not required. Please clarify. It's urgent.
Currently, I have an issue. I could all my test submissions in real-time & debug view as well. But, no custom events tracking from the real users in the reporting section. What should I do now?

I tried this method and I kept getting 3 page view events from the homepage (there's a subscribe to email pop-up that triggers one of them). With the updated GA Config tag (GA4 Config is now GA Tag), I ended up enabling "Page changes based on browser history events" option in Google Analytics and it seems to get rid of the multiples and bypasses the need to create an additional tag for page views. Is there something I'm missing here?
Hi, do you have a tutorial on how to set up Ecommerce events on Wix? I'd love to get purchase info to GA4, however I can't find how to do this on Wix
I did this, but the debugging isn't possible because I have put a consent message for users, is it possible to still use GTM ? how to modify that
I have never been able to get any tag to work on my WIX website. I have triple checked that I connected them right, I even tried to connect by adding the custom code instead of just using the ID. Tag assistant tool will connect but never finds any tags. The only possible solution I have been able to find is to turn off ad blockers which did not change anything. This has been driving me crazy all week, any advice would be extremely helpful thanks.

Thanks for this, Julius. Question: if I use that same lead generation event to fire google ads conversions, it should work fine, correct? It looks like it's working fine when I use preview event, however, I can't seem to get the debug view working in GA4.

Wix is a single-page application. That is the reason why.
What do you mean by * how to track pageviews (because the standard setup will not work) ? I have a standard setup and get all my page view data in the debug mode and in my reports.
What is standard setup? Built-in GA4 integration? I am not talking about that in this video.
However, if you go with the GTM setup (out of the box), the pageview data might not be reliable as page titles might not always match page URLs. So a customization is needed. The rest is explained in the video.
@@AnalyticsMania By standard, I mean the GA4-Configuration in GTM. Maybe I just had luck with my website.
hi @analytics mania i have followed the steps but around 12:16 i checked my analytics page and i can't see any debug events, despite scrolling through the wix page in debug mode. please help!

wow the single page load thing in wix really complicates things. I'm working on setting up google ad conversion tracking for one of my wix websites and can't seem to get it right, can you make a video on that? A few issues I'm having: I'm not sure how to test number swapping for tracking number through google ads (not callrail type) so if a customer goes to my website from google ads I can track the call as a conversion. also I have set up GTM tag properly to fire tag upon form submission event in wix in preview mode, but I don't think the conversion is communicating back to google ads somehow. Or, do you offer service where a can pay you to do this? if so what are your current rates? I think the only conversion in google ads I'm actually tracking right now properly is just the click to call from ad. Right now I'm pretty much just relying on landing page name and form name to know that I'm getting submissions from google ads, but I'd like the option to get conversion data to set up optimization for bids for conversions instead of just maximize clicks. Hi Julius thank you so much for your tutorials!!! I want to ask something though, I've installed the lead event using your tutorial, but the event is "generate_lead". I've tested it using debug mode, the tag was fired and it was recorded in Analytics. However a day after that someone submitted a form and it was not recorded in GA even after waiting for 48 hours. Any idea what went wrong? Thank you!

Hi. Before I saw your video I had already connected tag manager and GA4 through WIX. It's already recording data. Do I need to add a new property again in GA4 if it's already recording? Or do I modify the current property in GA4? I will say it's only recorded 3 out of 7 actual conversions so far.

Maybe you can redirect people to a Thank you page and track those pageviews as conversions/submissions
I followed your instructions and for some reason it says i have 2 tags installed and i cannot figure out why. When I link my ga4 property as you do, it appears as a second tag when i preview the page. any idea why?
