3 Reasons To Buy An Aerox 155 | Yamaha Aerox FAQ #2

- Three reasons to buy an Aerox. First, performance. The detuned Yamaha 155cc engine is the star of the show. It's fast, it's refined and it makes doing 30kmph in the city as easy as 100kmph on the highway. With variable valve actuation, the balance in power delivery is a huge feature of the scooter. Second, design. You know how we all want to see change and movement in the scooter market? The Aerox is bold and good looking in a very international way. Third, because it has an engine larger than the 125cc limit, the Aerox is also amongst the safer scooters in equipment terms, with front-wheel ABS being standard. We do wish Yamaha hadn't skimped on the rear disc though.

If only we had this kind of engine in a Burgman, that would be perfect.
💯
Basically a proper burgman besides the burgman street
If mounting style is same then nothing stops anyone from doing engine swap. Access, burgman and aerox 155 have same style of mounting points. All one would need is a custom engine mount if perfection is needed while mounting.
@@shubhamrane7020 If only we lived in Thailand, Indonesia that would be easy to do. The custom scene in those countries with scooters is insane.
@@surajtomar4870 we can still do some of the things they do. Like suspension swaps and oem bore kit swap.
Got my dad one, half a month ago. Beautiful. One thing about the stiff suspension - comparing it with others, yes its stiffer, but my dad has been used to LML, so its plush for him😅.
He rode it for 250 kms in a day, has done 1250 km in 25 days already and he is loving it and so am I. I daily a rc 390, (current gen) and I still end up enjoying aerox.
Thanks for sharing! Awesome that you and dad are loving riding your bikes!
@@motorinc absolutely. Can't thank enough for your reply. Means a lot for the enthusiast(s).❤️❣️
@@LAKSHAYSHARMAYOGDEEKSHA bro mileage ?
@@krj8290 45 nearly. Well this is when my dad largely pushes it 90 plus.
I do wonder bruv as to how r15 delivers more.😅😉
I ride this Aerox 155 scooter in Thailand 🇹🇭its very powerful but the suspension makes me feel the road more so i was surprised to see a scooter giving this feeling!! ❤
Thanks for sharing!
Dope keeping making these kind of videos
Sir yes sir!
Rode 10650km on this scooter and I think people are going a little bit too harsh on the brakes. They provide quite a good stopping force when I ride solo, even at 100+km/h and it saved me from 2 potential devastating accidents so far. However, the brakes do show mild ineffectiveness if you carry another person in the back seat. Would be neat if it had dual channel brakes or at least a better brake caliper on the front brake. Finally, yes, the scooter REALLY needs a better pair of suspensions.
Thanks for sharing this. Yes, the scooter does need a better pair of shock absorbers.
since tvs wants a share of sporty scooter i wish they released an NtorQ 150/160
Why ? Better buy mt-15, 155 cc.
Can't you ride bike ? 😂
@@hereim6268Ave chodu scooty practical hoti hai 🤦🏻♂️

More cc, less Mileage.
Automotive journalism is an art which needs appropriate presentation, choice of words to explain what you feel. Motorinc does it so beautifully and it makes them one of my favourite on CZcams.
I like how yamaha integrated the turn signals in the body panels of aerox, but for some reason they still have them protruding our in the r15. 😢
The only performance scooter worth considering below the exorbitantly priced bmw, i'm not gonna consider the unproven chinese options for now
♥️
Pls review the sr160 as well....
As soon as we can KP!
Bought this a month ago..really enjoying the ride❤
Whenever i watch the motorinc videos and listen to Thisconnect it feels like we get to know what the thought process behind what they say are coming from. Shumi and Kartik can safely be called some of the pioneers of the motojournaling business and this channel feels like a culmination of their years of experience observing the vehicle industry in our country. Plus they don't press their opinions as an ultimatum and encourage individual thought a lot more than reviews, vfm or specsheets which is an amazing point. I wish i had a fitting skillset to fit into the motorinc team so that i could talk to them whenever i had something in mind about motorcycles, but that's a pipedream for now.
With that said, I'd love to know when season 2 of Thisconnect is coming. Love everything you guys do, much love ❤
Thank you, Sayantan. ❤️ Season 2 of This Connect is in the works.
The headlamps are what made me fall in love
4k kms on a Nov'22 Aerox.I'm 40 plus so had apprehensions about comfort but I haven't experienced tiredness even after a 100 km ride..hits 100 easily on smooth highway roads, much to the amazement of others😊
I easily cruise on 120 and there are no problems apart from the smaller tank. It should've got a 10ltr fuel tank. It corners really well due to wider and radial tyres and there are literally no vibration even above 100. Its a pure fun machine capable of long distance travel.
Please review the aprillia and vespa scooters as well
As soon as we can, Arjun!
+1, I found the vespa fun when I rented it, the Piaggio engine has a certain fizz to it. We'd want to hear Shumi's thoughts on the vehicles
Went 129 with it
Super scooter ❤
Need rear disc break with dual channel. I will buy immediately if these updates implemented
2024, bs7 version
India needs to bring the click/pcx 160cc to the Indian market now it’s high time. Looking at Activa is an eyesore now.
We hope Honda India is listening 🤷♂️
The last line is what we need journey toward perfection. Any updates on XSR 155??
The only thin stopping me to buy Aerox 155 is not having dual Channel ABS (not even rear Disk). Let's See, I will wait till it happens. Common Yamaha, At least give us different variant with Dual Channel ABS so that this model can retain it's price point and other buyers who are willing to pay more for Dual Channel ABS version can get their hands on that as well.
You've got a point.
Which scooty would you suggest for the best suspension, and a little relief to back pain.
An exhilarating ride every time! An R15 hiding without all the gear shifts ❤
It surely is quite engaging to ride.
I have a very weird question, can we put an underbelly silencer in the ZX10r like those in ninja 650, like legal stuff not a silencer which I might get a challan for modification. Is there a way ?
Also, content quality and presentation shows how much effort and dedication goes into making such videos. Thank you for making such, I would say premium quality content.🖖🏍️
@Motorinc Are the suspensions changed in the Newly launched Version S. That's what I've heard. Your word would be affirmative!
Please review Mahindra mojo 🙂
We don't have access to a test bike.
Since it is hard to get one in Hyderabad, what is ur opinion on SR160.
Thank you
Can motorinc create a guide to rear suspension swap the aerox? Is any other motorcycle suspension compatible. Imported rear suspension for aerox is expensive.
We can try to make a video on it.
@@motorinc it would be really nice as many counterfeit rear suspension from china are also being sold
Where can I get these type of handguard
Aerox has the sporty sleek design that makes it so popular, not bulky and it’s medium sized scooter good for city but not so much on long rides however the never ending drum brake at the back is the downside.
I went to khardungla on this bike from Pune it’s a very good bike
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing @omkarwanganekar8017. How did you plan fuel stops though?😮
But one big problem is there which no one mentioned while promoting.
It's the front suspension. It gives you a huge dunk sound even on a little pitch.
Hi @kshumesh1246, this is one of the many shorts that we have made to cover the various aspects of the Aerox 155 and in other shorts, Shumi has addressed the weak suspension. Oh, and just to be clear, we don't promote vehicles, we review them!😊
Waiting for Yamaha N max and Honda PCX❤
We'll be reduced to skeletons and still be waiting for them 😂😢
@@vm-my6hg i hope this day never comes and they may plan to launch in coming months 😃
@@psk4399 hope so mate, I've been waiting for years. Thinking of just going with the aerox now with a suspension import & then further upgrade if a suitable option is available in the coming years.
@@vm-my6hg how about importing any one of these? What’s your take on that?
@@psk4399 besides very high cost, service & spares problem. I talked to a guy who runs a good helmet shop in my city, he has an imported tmax besides locally bought Ducati, he services himself & imports spares when needed. I don't have that level of passion :(
We Maldivians have been riding it since it came to market. Why this late to indian Market?
What you think it is good for my daily use like office work and 80-100 km rides??
Yes it could be. The only hitch is the suspension which is stiff - get a test ride and work out if you can live with it or not
What it's cruising speed
I will buy this scooter once they provide dual channel abs and atleast 7 litres tank. May be I am demanding too much.
There are aftermarket solutions to install a bigger fuel tank.
On August 20, I got my Aerox 155. After riding it for 3 days, I can easily say that in the city, you can overtake almost every vehicle. Front disc brakes are good, but rear brakes are not so strong. I don't know if it's only in my scooter or every Aerox 155. And I have a faulty fuel gauge that is blinking every time and showing a full tank
I am thinking to buy the aerox , should I buy it?? Is It worth the price?
@@jeeturathore6100yeah
One negative not all but the mileage is around 25-30kmpl
the 155 V2 Engine is mindboggling. It's has a little more power but more fuel effecient than the V1.
Thank you for sharing the information.
Obd2 v issue in traction control that's y I switched burman street ex I v vespa sxl but like aerox . Yamha solve some issues and fit and finish quality improve because price point not less than others
i still dont get the lack of love for the Aprilia SXR 160? Fabulous tourer with single-channel ABS and a footboard in the front?
We are yet to test it.

Aerox vs ntorq?
Tough one! We'd probably stretch to the Aerox unless we did need the scooter to be super practical... that the Ntorq is better at
only if money is not a concern
Ntorq is better or this one
Sir yamaha ryzer 125 cc
the built quality is really very bad and the back suspension is so worst than an auto rikshaw...
As an XSR fan i fail to understand why Yamaha won't release XSR 155 in India, when a whole fam base is waiting for it, most of the components required are already here in MT and R15, instead they give us FZX, any thoughts on this?
They could have brought the XSR155 instead of the FZ-X but the paths that Yamaha India chooses is hard to comprehend.
4th is size of tyre
It is available only in tier 1 cities.
Ntorq or aerox ?
Where is mt
It's better if this motorcycle both disk brake front and back.
But you don't put disc brakes where you don't need them.
On scooters, the rear brake does play a bigger role than on motorcycles though
This is a reborn Bajaj M-50
🤔
Not a single aerox seen on road yet
Quality level is total third class in the aerox.... Every part needs replacement now and then. And the air filter is even more expensive than my four wheeler's.
But the paint quality of yamaha aerox is not good
Oh? What happened?

Don't buy it's over price
But it doesn't have the practicality of a scooter
This is a life style scooter
@@Carhack944what dose that mean?
It's supposed to be a slightly more evolved product that speaks to someone who values practicality less... in theory there's no reason to make a fast scooter that likes cornering at all
It's not meant to .. for instance a private jet doesn't have commercial ones capacity
Why not just get a motorcycle
Certainly the choice many will make Hemant but scooters, as a form, are more practical for the city. The Aerox is basically asking "why let motorcycles have all the fun?"😅
I love Indian motorcycles💜👍
Bad scooter.. don't buy.. waste of money... If you buy.. Please change the rear shocks for sure else you will break your back for life.. The bike does not have a dipper too😂
Thanks for sharing your views. The rear shocks can be changed but they are only available as an aftermarket fitment.
I was refused a test-ride.(AEROX 155)
Reality Check!!!
As of now September 24, 2023.
still more than a year since the launch of Aerox-155, There is availability issue and 6-7 months waiting period on Aerox 155 😂. Not only that due to this shortage, as well as long waiting, the price showroom quoted was also a lot more.... I was quoted 1.79-1.8. So yeah, in reality, Aprilia is your only and best option, unless you are reallllly into Yamaha, want to spend that high for lesser practicality, ride comfort and yet wait so long eventually bumping price again.
Oh wait, did I mentioned, I was refused a test-ride as well??? so you will spend almost 2 lakhs based on on-paper spec and just video reviews.
Good luck getting this!!
Bad plastic parts
Please explain?
@@motorinc the part in the middle of where foot is placed is too much flexible and weak and specially the plastic above fuel cap
