Nice tips! Thanks a lot.
100% with you. Excellent Tips! Thanks!
Thank you for the info, much appreciated.
Thanks for video.
thanks man, greetings!
Great tutorial, I even managed to get better results a lot easier. I simply copied over all the Windows fonts from the windows/fonts directory on a Windows 10 pc. They all work on my Debian 11 pc.
That is better , i did the same
Thank you very much. Can you please demonstrate how to do this?
@@charlescadogan8504 copy the ttf from windows pc onto a usb drive , then paste it to /usr/share/fonts/truetype
It's demonstrated in this video around the 3 minute mark: czcams.com/video/4EAes8DDWQE/video.html
@@dhaneshs3618 is copy enough or do I need to install them all one by one?
bro you're god🔥❤️
Great tutorial like always, thank you!!
Can you do a video on how to setup dual monitors in Linux, please?
Linux Mint 20.1 Had dual monitor support out of the box. Double check your settings if you're using a recent distro. Mine ran fine as a static monitor (it was actually a graphics table but the digital pen function was permanently offset). Zorin OS 16 pro worked for graphics tablet.
Thanks for the video, just one question how can I see japanese character, do I need to install some special font?
i am sorry that i am out of topic but i have a lot of respecr for you and i think you are the right person to ask this, is there a way to install Gnome Boxes on my windows 10 pc? i use it on my ubuntu work laptop all the time and i love it. Thanks in advance for your time.
what theme are you using on libre office writer?
Endeavour OS XFCE review please
Can I copy all the fonts from Windows font folder and install on Linux manually?!
Great video. This works perfectly for Debian 11. Does anyone how to get ms fonts in Debian 12? This command doesn't work
Nice. Tq.
I came across a video ( 🔥15 Things You MUST DO After Installing Zorin OS)
that advised this to get MS fonts in Linux...
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
a package which includes/installs...
ttf-mscorefonts-installer
When installing the EULA for mscorefonts appears. accept it and hey presto.
In Manjaro ttf-ms-fonts are not available what should i need to do now...
this package exists in AUR so paste in terminal: "pamac build ttf-ms-fonts" or enable in Add/Remove Software AUR packages and install with GUI
@@madd-tv ok i got it... thank you...
What distro are you using yourself in this video?
KDE neon he says 😉
KDE neon
I was searching for this for a long time now. Quit linux bc of the old installation way beeing broken. Although they dont still get picked up in the browser (css)...
Can you take a video how to make work Canon lbp2900 on Arch?
DistroTube recently posted a video about installing printers on Arch. Check him out.
@@kychemclass5850 Okay, thanks.
carlito and caladea fonts are already installed on debian, I didn't install them by myself
Is it the same for Debian 12?
@@toddpark2893 No, I installed debian 12 few days ago and they're not installed but they're available in Debian repositories
BTW, does anyone know of another good FOSS alternative to Audacity????
Audacity _is_ FOSS, though if you really need something else I guess there's Tenacity which is a fork. It's early days for it though. Haven't tried it myself
@@dontmindme8709 audacity is no longer FOSS, as the project was purchased by a company which then closed the source of the code and introduced an end user license agreement (that kids under 13 could not legally sign thereby making it a violation of the gpl V2 license). There are multiple forks but none of them have done anything different besides maybe change the name
@@crazychicken0378 Yeah I guess it takes time for the forks to actually go anywhere. Also, the developments in the situation regarding Audacity aren't over, so it will be difficult to say what will happen and what will become of the forks. Where did you get the idea that Audacity now is closed source? The company that bought Audacity only bought the rights to the brand, not the source code. They wouldn't be able to do that because of the GPL.
The drama stems from their proposed privacy policy, which I don't know what they've settled on. At least the part about about children being advised not to use the program seems to be gone. It's been poorly dealt with, but I think it's too early to speculate too much.
try ocenaudio
@@crackula7958 Not FOSS
Calibri font is copyrighted by Microsoft
So, is it legal to install calibri font in Ubuntu?
Sir
Why not just install calibri fonts in Linux?
I just copy and paste the fonts from a Windows PC.
Tahoma & Arial = best ms fonts.
The best thing to do is download Calibri and Cambria fonts and installing it on your distro by going to home create a .fonts folder and extract the download fonts.
I guess the video was more about a free alternative to the MS fonts that don't break the look...
I guess Wps office have best compatibility when dealing with ms office files
Brother we need a video on installing Microsoft office
You mean installing MS office as program or install the free fonts in MS office (both kinda boil down to _why would you even want to use MS office?_ )
@@KuruGDI Ms office program bro (Word,PowerPoint and etc...)
@@_nas_techs_6424 Why would use MS office when you have LibreOffice?
@@_nas_techs_6424 You cannot! Maybe you can try with wine but the best way is to use the online version.
