    This was the breakthrough lesson for me. You're a great teacher, much better than some others. Thank you so much. Ex drummer, it's been a long time, going to persevere and try to bring joy to a few people without lugging a kit around. Realising how utterly wooden my left side has become, but hey, at 64 perhaps I can still learn to just relax and allow it to happen. And I've only been going less than an hour. Fascinating watching muscle memory develop.
    Hope to be practicing as I walk the dog around the park in maybe a couple of months. All the best to you.

    Please tell me what diameter your asalato is?

      Hi, I'm actually not sure and I don't have a way to measure... But I've been playing for many years and I like having different kinds and different sizes. I used to only play very very small Asalatos, now I play what I'd call medium. But the most important parameter is the rope length.
