This show was the best, I wish there was one or two more seasons because the subtleties of the characters that they would put in episodes that people would catch. Father Ted was hilarious!

The best thing about Fr Ted was that they mocked everything from Eurovision (My Lovely Horse) to The Rose of Tralee ( The Lovely Girls will not be Lovely forever).

I remember watching Father Ted when Channel 4 first showed it and Ive been watching it ever since. So many fantastic characters andd great lines. Just genius.
Brendan Grace was fantastic as Father Stack (starting at about 18:02). He did such a good job at being a vile, yet entertaining prick.

OMG I totally lost my drawers when Ted lost his patience😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 then after the song father shoots the tv😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. My good old dad loved this show and used to tell me stories about it. Sadly my dad passed away in 2015 but I can understand why he loved it. Great humor.

Sometimes a show just pops up and you watch it & you think ...thats was great....Then after you havnt watched it for a while & it pops up again on some channel years later & you still think its as fresh & as funny as the 1st time you saw it.....well!!!!!

I just came back to watching Father Ted, and it's brilliantly scripted and acted. Wonderful. But you know what reminded me of it? Graham Lineham, who wrote most most of it, has been "cancelled" by the terrible "cancel culture" for actually standing up for womens' rights etc. It's complicated and you'd have to look into it for yourself - but he's not been able to find any work since 2018 since this terrible cancel culture horror. I feel for him. You can look up all about it by just putting his name into CZcams. At least he's not been "cancelled" from that ... yet. He was working for five years on a Father Ted musical - but that is also cancelled - because he wrote it!
