- I HATE filming content on my phone. In this video, I'll go into detail about why I think you should stop creating with your phone and what you should use instead.

absolutely agree. nothing can beat dedicated video equipment . picture is always natural . im filming on pretty old cam with 1080p/50 but I can say - its always magic
Definitely magic! Which camera are you filming with?
I agree a good camera with buttons knobs , and dials helps you zone in on the process of photography. I would also say for video too because you have so much more control of what the video looks like vs a phone or action camera. The process of learning a camera is not quick but it’s so much more fulfilling than taking a photo on a phone
The tactile experience is truly something special. And you're right about having control.
The learning process is part of the fun and it is definitely fulfilling.
I definitely agree that the distractibility is a challenge with using the phone. I'm very good about setting an intention and sticking to it but I still find myself checking notifications and opening apps just to browse. But my phone is all I have for now, I'm still starting out so I can't justify getting a whole separate camera device. But I wouldn't say no if a ZVE-10 fell in my lap LOL
If your phone is all you have keep going. I understand that everyone doesn't have access to a camera, but I believe it's something to strive towards.
Keep working on your skills and when you do get a camera you'll be ahead of the curve because you already know how to be on camera.
If you work towards the ZV E10, I'll have some content ready for you.
This video is really good 👍, your quality of your video is freaking amazing. I dont know which camera are you using and your luts, but amazing please make a video about it.
I agree, i have iPhone 14 pro max but when i record i cant reach this much good quality it is not possible, and i think iPhone creates asymmetry.
not: you didnt ask my opinion but my humble opinion when i checked your videos, there are many videos distracting, i recommend you to focus on your thumbnails. You have very good hook and you got me in this video. Keep doing brother! 🎉
Thank you! Glad you liked it and appreciate your comment on quality!
For this video I used the Sony A7III with a Tamron 35mm 2.8 lens. I also had a 1/4 mist filter on the lens. I will definitely add that video to my content plan.
Appreciate the feedback about the older videos. I've decided to move in the direction of this video and you'll see a lot more of these moving forward as well as practical tips for creating better videos. Cheers!
You romantising using a camera, phones are the future so dont be suprised if in 5 years you using your phone to make youtube videos.
Everyone at a time thought that "gmail", for example, wouldn't be the default way of sending messages, and today it is.
My advise is, use both! You move with the time or you get left behind.
I think of it the same way with actual painting. People can paint digitally but that doesn’t take away from the joy of using a paint brush and canvas.
There’s room for both. It’s just my personal opinion that using a camera allows for a better experience.
