Probably because he doesn’t have it set up properly or just the fact it’s vertical instead of horizontal. Anyways it could just be a cheap lens, but lens do help a lot with IPhone cinematography because honestly the fact the camera can’t even technically zoom and has to utilized digital zooming is really sad. You can’t get any real depth or focusing without an add on.

@@aionforiphone2655 It should be much better quality than this for the price, the image looks like its from one of the cheap plastic addon lenses that have been sold for many years.
Other peoples photos with lenses from this manufacturer do seem to look significantly better. The example here definitely doesn't match with their channel name of "SMARTPHONE FILMMAKING PRO"

This is a wide angle from sandmarc. It‘s not as wide as the ultrawide from the iPhone but you can use the standard lens.. so pro‘s and con‘s
