Part 5 has my favorite stands considering their strength and tactics make sense for a group of killers and gangsters. Everyone uses them almost expertly and they all have applications that work with their mission at hand. They also show off more long range stands and how they can take a life of their own. Though I do agree with your criticisms on them.

King Crimson's ability just doesn't work very well in manga. There's (almost) always a time interval between any two panels, as if we're always skipping through time. KC flies in the face of the medium by telling us that happens (or doesn't happen) between panels is important.
Also for Part 6, I had just assumed that a lot of minor villains weren't the original users of their Stands due to Pucci experimenting on the prisoners with Whitesnake.
The part 6 thing is my new headcanon.
I know it's been 2 years but honestly that might be the best way of showing King Crimson's ability. Since even the reader can't tell if King Crimson has activated, it puts you into the same perspective as the characters, where the only way to tell that King Crimson has happened is because of noticing little things. Then again, the characters just kind of randomly notice time skipping anyway which makes things like the blood trick redundant
I don't really agree with you saying that Araki fumbled the ball with King Crimson. I think Part 5 overall has more interesting stand designs to Part 4. But either way, completely agree that JJBA has one of the best power systems in fiction

I think fugo and purple haze is the best stand highlight of part 5 it shows that the user's worst qualities can become their stand even if they have good intentions. If you have things you're hiding from yourself a stand arrow will show you by killing everyone around you because you can't control your emotions. If you think about it more it makes a lot of sense but me keeping it brief not so much XD. (10:00 )
Diavolo's main thing is that his identity must be hidden, it was deliberate that Diavolo/KC was introduced in such a way.
Exactly Diavolo is my favorite jojo villain and KC is one of my favorite stands

For all those who don't understand king crimson, his ability is skipping time, during the lapse of time he erases, he is the only one who feels what is happening, the other people won't remember anything that happened during the timelapse. During the lapse he can't change the destiny of anything that isn't him, for example, if someone is fated to die, he can't stop him from being killed, and that's why he waits to attack after the lapse. First, he seeks a favorable future prediction with Epitaph, his sub-ability and when he sees a favorable prediction he uses king crimson. An example. SPOILER ALERT COMING: When he kills narancia this is what happened. He saw with epitaph the prediction in which he fought with narancia and narancia lost gettin impaled by the fence. When he saw the prediction he used kc and he changed his destinated actions during the lapse because he is able to change his destiny, for example if narancia managed to damage him with aerosmith he could just avoid that damage with king krimson, but narancia would have died even if diavolo wouldn't have used king krimson

I think part 6 is more like a Fun one rather than consistent, it introduced alot of cool ideas but for that it requires more researches and studies ,and also sacrifices the characters and fighting itself

I think Tusk is kinda balanced. Tusk is the best offensive Stand in the series because it's UNSTOPPABLE(not even Love Train or Time Stop is able to hold it down), but that doesn't translate to defense. Tusk defensive options, even as ACT 4, are very limited. And the fact it's defense sucks was the reason why Diego won against it, even with Tusk Act 4 being a superior Stand than The World.
So TL;DR: Tusk Act 4 is a Glass Cannon.

That's the good thing about Part 7 in general. Most of the stands didn't really have any defensive abilities, so every fight felt a lot more dangerous, and the stands that were humanoid and had more traditional defenses felt uniquely dangerous instead of just the average stand
What I really liked was how Vitamin C’s user (was his name Damo?) looked so greasy, I looked at him and just felt like he was such a greasy, sweaty creep. And then he ‘greased’ up to Hato. And then his stand used those greasy hands. Amazing
part 7 stands are my favorite as the stands make the humans the center point of the physical fights outside the simple punching ghosts

One of the things I love about stands is that they actually have physical bodies which has so much potential for cool designs that are related to their user, both the user and the ability are so intertwined that to find the characters theme and all that shit you have to look at the stand too and that's just, *chefs kiss.
So... part 8 is part 6’s “what the fuck am I looking at?” hyper experimental scientific stands.
My main problem about part 8 stands are that there are too many automatic tracking/long range stands

You are the first person I have ever heard talk shit on limp bizkit lol, I’ll agree that a lot of them are bad but some are good like jail house lock, limp bizkit, sky high, jumpin jack flash and hell maybe even yo yo ma and green green grass of home. Part 6 is my third to least favorite part right above parts 1 and 3 btw so I’m not just biased for it, my favorite parts are 7,5,4 and 8 in that order then 2 is right in the middle, I wouldn’t say JoJo has any bad pats except part 1 though
One of the problems with the part 6 stands is that most of them where stands given by pucci making it so it doesn’t fit the user
imo part 7 has a lot more mediocre stands than part 6, i.e. guy with hooks in his tongue and ropeguy.

I honestly think part 6 minor villan stands are passable, other than the three in the maximum security lockdown stands, and a few other minor ones at the start, i think all the dio sons are interesting enough especially the replay ground one, and fictional characters one

Araki really had the right idea with stands. The fact that stand abilities and designs are not only creative but also inform a character's persobality is pretty great. Out of all the stands in the series, my favorites are Crazy Diamond and regular D4C.

I’m late to these videos but I just wanted to say they’re well done. I think you would see success in video that branch from JoJo but covered other power systems like DBZ, Bankais, and so on.
In part 6, most of the villain stands weren't theirs, it was given to then by Whitesnake, so it makes sense they aren't personalized.
i like hermit purple and ball breaker cause they are connected to the other power systems and work more as a powerup to the other systems than a stand

I actually think part 5 has the best stands and stand users in the series. And I really liked King Crimson. Thought it was done extremely well.

@@METAsMETAs Also... Controversial take here... I loved the invisible zombie stand from part 6. It's easy to understand and is an interesting concept. I like the concept so much that I might see if I can make a survival horror game revolving around it one day. My problems with part 6 lie within hard to understand stands like dragon's dream that really slow down the pacing with pages and pages of explanation.
kc was easy for me to understand but it could be harder to understand for others.
I also found it pretty easy to understand but I think that's because of the anime making the ability seem simple

I’m gonna be honest at this point idk what would be better. I also think that would be stupid considering that’s what we’ve been with and used to in this universe and it going away would be unlikey.
As a simp for part 6, I have to say, I very much disagree with your sentiments on the stands for part 6. I'll focus on Pucci since he is the one who grants most stand users a stand in this part. As the villain, Pucci had to fight stand users either weaker, on par, or, stronger but still beatable in order to take their stand disc's (meaning the stands we see in this part vary from lame, situational, oddly specific, weak, etc). As he personally meets with someone that will happen to be an antagonist, he as a priest weighs his judgements with their sins to find the perfect stand for those users that loosely reflects their personality (though sometimes a stand perfectly captures another users personality which is very good). Yes these stands are "bizarre" but they were meticulously gathered by a literal intellectual madlad who's purpose is to get his shit done through the people he uses. This creates hyperpersonalized stands that utilizes a prison environment as well as the greed of prisoners to its highest potential which I think is genius. Have a cemetery in your prison? Limp Bizkit. Have many enclose quarters as well as the basic prison environment of betting and gambling? Here's Marilyn Manson and Jack Flash. I know I tend to be in the minority with things regarding part 6 as it is my favorite part, but I think the stands and why they are the way they are to be pretty amazing writing when it comes to the villain who has thought out the stands to gather for years. The man's literally had a boiling water stand, he had a stand for most situations in the prison to stop Jolyne. Many of the villains get greedy and a power high from their stands too which often leads to their downfall as they have a lack of understanding of how to fully utilize it, unlike natural or arrow awakened stand users who have a much firmer grasp on how it should be used. As far as stands/ villains go, I legitimately believe part 6 to at least be as good as part 4. The amount of times we see hand to hand compact influenced by stand powers as well is unlike any other part we have seen before which is also great to me since physical capabilities are enhanced through said stand use and can make up for a weak ability depending on the situation. Great video though, I'd love to discuss more since there are more to how stands were crafted in this part which I greatly appreciate

This is pretty accurate for why part 6 stands are underrated imo. No one really pays attention to the technical aspects that went into crafting these stands for this part

I really disagree with your take on p6 stands. A lot of them are super creative and while they are complicated, they are responsible for a lot of dynamic fights and are super specific in their approach. Our heroes mostly find themselves in a disadvantageous situation and must find creative ways to get out of said situations making a lot of the fights thrilling af. Previous parts started doing that but not to the same extend. The Marilyn Manson fight is a physical take of a gambling stand fight from the earlier parts while making full use of the prison setting, Jumping Jack Flash is terrifying. The zero gravity abilility fits perfectly with the setting since it works best in closed environments, the Planet waves fight was one of the most intense and brutal encounters in this series. Limp Bizkit is one of my all time favourites for numerous reasons and a great way to finish off hermes character arc. I also love how physical a lot of the fights get as well. Jolynes stand itself is very physical and she constantly puts herself in danger. Heck even the dragons dream fight had great hand to hand choreography and panel flow. FF and Kenzo were going all out on that.Overall I just love the great variety of stands in p6 and I think it has some of the best fights in the entire series.

I recently had an idea for King Crimson as a new ability but it's kinda a mix of the Epitaph ability and a stand from part 8
So in this rendition KC attacks someone and can steal away part of their memories, only those stores in Short term memories of up to 5 minutes in the past. The Memory is stored in a chess piece that can either be destroyed by KC to erase it, or can be observed then returned to the original owner of the memory. It can also use Epitaph to see 10 seconds into the future but it cannot change fate like canon KC can, so while he can plan he can't force a change beyond this. In this edition he's a very different person so he doesn't need to be as op as canon
The enemies not having personalized stands in Part 6 make sense. Pucci gave them those stands not from an arrow. So it wasn't theirs to begin with

Abilities: Wields a spear that can be thrown and once the spear hits anything a lightning bolt will shoot from the sky. When pierced by SoJ’s spear an electrical shock will be shot into the person’s body. The spear can also return back to my stand. The spear can only be held by SoJ and SoJ can morph the spear in any way. (Use your imagination. By any way I mean any way)
Appearance:
Dark grey skin and wears a blue suit of armor (armor looks like knight armor). Eye color is usually yellow but can change to red or green

I'll be honest, I think Dragon's Dream is a good stand with a good ability, it's just that the rush of stands just before its introduction, the overly long introduction and backstory for the user that you get all at once and the complicated explanation of its abilities just detracted from how good it could have been.

i love how crazy part 6 stands are, you need to be a real artist to create that, and for my part 5 has the best ones, honestly, part 4 stands are the worst ones to me, and in part 3 are just a little basic.
I personally like the simplicity and diversity of the part 3 stands. They have rather basic abilities they have, like Fire or Sword wielding and stuff. They're also not all just punchy ghost, Mariah's stand is literally a plug socket. Still the part 4 stands are pretty neat, part 5 does have the best stands and part 6 is okay, though I LOVE weather report

Honestly, late to the party here...but imo Scary Monsters was the best in terms of the "minor" stands in Part 7.
i feel like overall part 6 stands get too much hate, like no doubt there are some kinda dumb ones, but i feel the ones that are good are pretty solid. diver down, weather report, whitesnake, made in heaven, limp bizkit, foo fighters, bohemian rhapsody, and even jumping jack flash all had some interesting parts and concepts to them
