The cuts are being made to cover the costs of "the new arrivals."
The whole board needs to be fired then investigated, the missing funds are their responsibility.
The LEAST she could do is not get a raise for herself and she couldn't even do that.
That depends on what her contract/agreement says. Any raises are usually set forth in the contract/agreement between both parties so it isn't always possible to say "You won't get a raise" unless she maybe agrees to a deferred raise where she gets a larger raise later on to make up.
I have no idea why they are surprised. Mayor Adams made it clear that the city was going to experience budget cuts to help with the illegal immigrants. He's been saying that since January 🤷♀️
