yep, its crazy that he reminds me of so many of the folks I grew up with. All of them were like that, he’s certainly one of the older style hillbillies. The newer ones have almost all been ate up by drugs and its sad - likely one of the reasons we’re in the situation we’re in :(
That guy knew what he was talking about! My sister's husband is a mechanic & loves the older cars & she works for a metal recycling plant in Waco, & she tells me about the prices of different metals. Plus, do you remember all the copper theft and have you seen the cages people put around their A/C units now? People have even broken into power plants to steal metal and have gotten electrocuted in the process! Pathetic! P.S. I saw a '67 Chevy Truck, reminded me of my Daddy's truck! Fond memories! 💙
Hilly is about 85% accurate with the cars, and his appraisals are about double what they’re actually worth. But glad he was around to let know know there’s a lot of good shit in there
Lamont, I found Hillbilly to be very entertaining! I loved those old cars. Especially, the ones from the 60,s and seventies. Brought back memories my friend! Great nostalgic video. ❤😊
Wow! That guy knows his cars! I sure hope he can get in touch with the guy, or someone who can help him get what he wants. I was sitting here (at first) hoping the guy wasn't some kind of crook or nut case leading you into an ambush (or who knows what) But he turned out to be a nice guy who knows all about cars and their value. As for the guy sitting in jail who did those horrible things to those other guys, well he can rot in there! I know the victims weren't angels themselves, but no one deserves to die like that! Take care Lamont!
In days of old thieves got the same kind of justice. And that's because throughout all the years of civilization scum like those four were recognized as destroyers and impoverishers. I mean, it involves much more that just taking stuff -- entire lives and cities can go down the drain if they aren't confronted and dealt with harshly. They come home with loot, proud of what they've done, and get a kiss on the cheek from some scraggly strumpet... next thing ya know, they're the hero of some little kid who looks up to them, and a new thief is born. And don't think for a minute that if they were facing many years in jail those guys wouldn't have assaulted and murdered the junkyard owner to shut him up forever! He should get an award for all the future crimes he prevented and all the money he saved taxpayers by putting their lifelong spree of terror & chaos to an end. Best use of scrap lead I've ever heard of.
*LOL* Had to pause at the 25:04 mark to comment, Lamont. This is some *fantastic content.* Well done. If Kale put this all together, she did a fine job. That's great that this fella stumbled upon you, he definitely knows what he's speaking about. One of my main "drive around" vehicles is a 1990 Ford F150 Inline Straight 6 with a 5 speed OD. I had a fella offer me $5,000 grand in cash - - rolled up in a thick paper grocery bag for my truck. Months later some old timer offered me $7,800. Cracks me up. I'll keep my truck. ha!
I really enjoyed your time with hillbilly in the scrap heap! This took me back to my late teenage years of going out with the boys to the junkyard. I had always been taught a woman needs to know how to take care of her car and I learned a lot in the junkyards.
At first I thought you were crazy going back in that scrap yard with Hillbilly but he turned out to be a good ol boy. He was right about those old 50's Chevy pickups and the short bed 70's Chevy pick up. Those are like gold now days. Oh yeah and after the guy with the big knife came out of the woods at the beginning I would have just drove on and skipped this video but you hung tough and got it done with the Hillbilly bonus. Great job brother can't wait for your next video. Stay safe Amigo!
Loved listening to hillbilly. My husband and I use to rebuild old cars and engines. WE had a 53 wyllis jeep modified with a 350 engine,12 to 1 pistons it was geared so low that it would pop a wheelie in a second. Rebuilt a 73 monte Carlo from the ground up. A 56 chevy rag top. God this brought back so many memories. Too many to mention. I love old muscle cars and trucks
Damn lamont going into a murder scene like that with a stranger named hillbilly. Don't think that I could've done it but thank you for it. He was pretty cool 😎
I'm a Supernatural fan--I was waiting for Bobby Singer to appear with his shotgun at any moment. I thoroughly enjoyed this video, I love old cars and a big thanks to Hillbilly for the info/education! Aaaaand as always thank you Lamont, AWESOME video and I LOVE the pics of the vehicles you added throughout! Love you!
This went from a quad homicide crime vlog to an entire automobile education video. This dude is pretty much spot on with those prices and he has a true passion for classic cars. Great guy! Glad you ran into him there. What’s sucks most about this place, other than seeing these beauties rot, is if or when there’s an auction for the vehicles you’ll never be able to pull them out. They’ll have to auction off the entire property
Great video! I know why Hillbilly wants Crager mags, they were the BOMB when I was in high school (class of 86). All of the "cool guys" had them on their Chevelles, Mustangs, Camaros, etc. Keep the great content coming.
I love all your videos but this one was AWESOME!! I have always loved old cars (still do at the age of 70) & drove many of them back in the day. I love hearing “Hillbilly” talk abt them…could listen to him all day! Thank you Lamont for this story & video of the junkyard. Keep on doing what you do bc you’re the best! ❤️
Been reading a lot of comments and I think I'm about to talk my dad aka "Hillbilly" into starting his own channel maybe Lamont at Large can make an appearance for some support.
@@randalthor6872 Ikr! Hillbilly said @17:18 the old man should have just let them have what they wanted and poured them out a little pile....Really? Who is going to catch someone stealing from them and say ohhh hey take this too? The killing and dismemberment did go overboard, but that just sounded crazy to me.
I run a salvage yard myself and just taking a quick glance at his inventory he has some pretty good items. It may not look like it to other people just the square body parts alone would bring a good price right now. However there is nothing worth dying or going to jail over.
Hillbilly was one of those old school car guys, and you can tell. He has so much knowledge on those cars, trucks, and SUVs. He knows his way around a metal scrapyard too. Plus, he showed Lamont and all of us how much money is in a scrap yard. Its almost like seeing an episode of Junkyard Gold.
Wow! I’ve never seen anybody literally almost drag you around! That was fun! Loved when you said now that’s breaking and entering!! He’s right about those cars. My family owned and retired from the glass business and I’m seeing lots of money just in glass. Fun video!😂😂
As a girl who spent a child hood in places like this, taking off parts to keep the family beater going, this brings me back! Some places would sell parts cheap if you took them off your self before the car was scraped... walking around each car had a family, a story to end up there, some in crime tape..
I worked for a scrap yard owner his name was Phil Lucas RIP he was a self made millionaire doing it from the 60s 70s 80s 90s The Storys he told me was unreal . Back in the 60s he was on a job in new york city They wanted to Gut a hidden bar from the bootleg days and he carefully took it down and rebuilt it in his lakefront home in his basement it was absolutely amazing
Wow! You're in my town. I can't describe what the atmosphere was like during that time. It was as if some kind of thick, evil energy that you could almost cut with a knife had rolled up straight from Hell. People all over here just seemed to have shut part of themselves down. Thank you for covering this. There was a horrific murder in the 1980s in Henryetta that you might be interested in as well. Be careful. Okmulgee county is one of the worst. I'm moving out of this dump on June. Great job.
Ok, ok, after watching this all the way, you really brought back some very fond memories. I had a few of those great cars over the years and one of my favorites was the 442 Olds. Dad did not let me drive it after one race, fantastic cars, love the seventies and sixties. Long live the Baby Boomers. God Bless.
So glad you covered this Lamont. I had lost track of this story after i saw the news that the mens bodies had been found. I never knew who had killed them. I feel very sad for the familys of the men. But i also feel bad for this man that was trying to make a living and people stealing from him. I can understand "losing it". If something doesnt belong to you leave it alone. Respect others. Stay safe Lamont. I dont want to see your murder on You Tube! God bless you always.🙏🤗❤️
I'll bet it was non stop & ese hard workers snap! The Super predators are incredibly frightening & he figured nobody would miss uch immoral people 🤔Poverty kills
I remember mentioning this case to you a few months ago. At that time, they had found the bodies, however there was little else about the case online. I imagine he shot them somewhere out there in the scrap yard, and he just used a chain saw to dismember them wherever they fell out there. By now, there's probably no traces of the crime. No doubt he tossed all the evidence ( his bloody clothing, the chainsaw), into the River along with the body parts. No doubt that scrap yard is haunted as hell, those guys never stood a chance and have unfinished business still to sort. My condolences to the families, no matter what they were up to, they didn't deserve to die.🕊Hillbilly seems like a nice guy, pretty determined to get his dream car. What a character, he just might be able to buy it from the killer, you never know!
@@tedrichards683 Yeah I'm surprised he threw them in the river. Maybe so they'd be found. He's an idiot. Should've just called the cops if they were trespassing.

I’d go there. There’s an amazing assortment of valuable and rare cars and parts. Sad to see them just sitting there. That guy you met knows his stuff. Love his junkyard crawl tour.
Lamont you are really doing a great job! Please keep it up and be safe! I was worried about the guy with the knife. Live your best life my friend ❤
Hillbilly is wholesome and I loved this video!
He has a passion and it's refreshingto see. He's definitely in his element 😊
"You just never know who your neighbor is anymore"
Keep on keeping on Lamont! I was one of your 1st 5k subs and I'm still happy to be here. Awesome to see all your hard work and growth being so supported 👏
yep, its crazy that he reminds me of so many of the folks I grew up with. All of them were like that, he’s certainly one of the older style hillbillies. The newer ones have almost all been ate up by drugs and its sad - likely one of the reasons we’re in the situation we’re in :(
One of the best videos lol loved it
That's why you should aways be kind.
Hillbilly is also on meth. No joke. Most of you arre blind to see it. WOW
And I agree he knows what he's talking about that place is a gold mine....
Hillbilly 🤠needs his own channel....... Good job Lamont!!!
Lamont is one of the greatest storytellers.. He's right up there with legends Peter Thomas and Robert Stack and Bill Kurtis
Peter Thomas my fav, forensic files
Loved this vid I grew up in old car club I love cars
I enjoyed this and seeing the old cars too. It is a shame to see classics rusting away.
Hilly is about 85% accurate with the cars, and his appraisals are about double what they’re actually worth. But glad he was around to let know know there’s a lot of good shit in there
Not necessary to apologize for wind noise, we enjoy knowing you are actually recording not using old footage like some Tubers do ❤
Lamont: this is breaking and entering now…
Also Lamont: “well let’s see what’s inside” 😂😂😂
Hillbilly stole the show!! He knew his stuff, great vlog Lamont!!
I'll keep my truck. ha!
That guy knew his car and I could listen to him all day .
Love old junkyards. Felt like Hillybilly owned the place and was showing you around.
This gentleman is like the energizer bunny, just keeps on going 😅nice fella Lamont, glad you felt safe with him😊
Loved listening to hillbilly.
This guy knows cars. He elevated your video.
Damn lamont going into a murder scene like that with a stranger named hillbilly. Don't think that I could've done it but thank you for it. He was pretty cool 😎
Noway would I do it! Scary!😊
Love you!
This guy looks like a kid in a candy shop.
Cragers were big when I was in middle and high school (1970s).
Mickey Thompson were also big back then.
Wow Hillbilly should get awarded a PHD in car knowledge. Fascinating video and really glad no one got shot .
Yesssss, that would be amazing...your Dad is great...his knowledge of cars was awesome
Rest in peace to all the victims. Be safe out there Lamont
They aren’t victims they were trying to steal IMO Justice was served 😮
the thieves? I mean...I guess they kind of brought that on themselves : (
Victims? Thieves
lol
@@randalthor6872 Ikr! Hillbilly said @17:18 the old man should have just let them have what they wanted and poured them out a little pile....Really? Who is going to catch someone stealing from them and say ohhh hey take this too? The killing and dismemberment did go overboard, but that just sounded crazy to me.
I run a salvage yard myself and just taking a quick glance at his inventory he has some pretty good items. It may not look like it to other people just the square body parts alone would bring a good price right now. However there is nothing worth dying or going to jail over.
I was saying don’t go in….. looks like you found a buddy and he really knows his stuff!
Hillbilly is a treasure 🙏🏻 I feel like you were meant to meet him Lamont.
Live in Tulsa, just 40 minutes away from Okmulgee. This case was huge in our area when it happened.
Another slam dunk, Lamont. Hillbilly is good folk. I seriously could listen to y'all talk all day. Thanks, man!💯👍🙏
This man, I am impressed he knows alot
Hillbilly was one of those old school car guys, and you can tell. He has so much knowledge on those cars, trucks, and SUVs. He knows his way around a metal scrapyard too. Plus, he showed Lamont and all of us how much money is in a scrap yard. Its almost like seeing an episode of Junkyard Gold.
The guy you bumped into and gave you a tour of the yard, was awesome! Great vid!
Wow! I’ve never seen anybody literally almost drag you around! That was fun! Loved when you said now that’s breaking and entering!! He’s right about those cars. My family owned and retired from the glass business and I’m seeing lots of money just in glass. Fun video!😂😂
Well this turned out to be quite the adventure! I love the old cars too Hillbilly, I hope you get your tires. Thanks Lamont!
As a girl who spent a child hood in places like this, taking off parts to keep the family beater going, this brings me back! Some places would sell parts cheap if you took them off your self before the car was scraped... walking around each car had a family, a story to end up there, some in crime tape..
My brother bought a 1981 Cadillac we loved that thing it was HUGE.
Hillbilly needs his own CZcams channel! He has such a passion for the old cars! ❤
That dude is cool and knows his car stuff......very personable too. Good video....
Thats heartwarming and hilarious that hes been back there so many times AND never stolen anything! 😂
The guy could have dumped the bodies in one of those junks and load dirt onto it in a mound. no one would ever find them.
Erin i also brought this case up also a year ago
@@tedrichards683 Yeah I'm surprised he threw them in the river. Maybe so they'd be found. He's an idiot. Should've just called the cops if they were trespassing.
How cool was that!!??? Thank you hillbilly for helping Lamont make this one of his better videos! Congrats Lamont!! ❤
That guy was very knowledgeable! My mom drove a mid 70s Monte Carlo and my dad had one of the boxy 70s Chevy trucks back in the day...
My parents had a 1974 Monte Carlo, dark olive green with a black top. My mom said she felt like she was driving a big frog, lol 🐸
Seeing Hillbilly so excited with the Burt Reynolds car now thats a whole moment
This was an excellent video! I could listen to you and Hillbilly talk about cars all day! Thank you. 💗😎
I would pay this guy to take me on a junk yard tour! He is excellent❤❤❤❤
That was a creepy place. I’m glad you had someone with you when you went on that property.
As the saying's goes: "One man's trash is another man's treasure". Meaning: "What is useless to one person, might be valuable to another".
Dude knows his cars!!
A big shout out to HillBilly! A car yard, which is a car collectives dreams. 'A kid in a lolly shop addiction'. I do hope Hillbilly makes contact and purchase these wrecks. I wonder why the owner did not live in that blue warehouse/ garage? You would of thought he would off built a fence around his property with security cameras and guard dogs and turned it into a car museum and looked after it! (Rest in Peace to the young fellas who were tragically killed there) Well Done to Lamont for doing this video as it was very informative and great to watch.
Hope you can do an update to see if hillbilly got an answer from junkyard guy on those rims!
