I truly don’t think you could describe the listenership of this podcast as anything other than a “cult following.”
there is no such person that tunes into this podcast “casually.” there’s like 1000 people tops that endure the aural pain of this show each week
I would call them cult following as their wills would be easily manipulated and corrupted by a cult and they would easily be followers

This suuuucks
I really feel like this podcast should be video only occasionally. The audio version has worsened (in some cases dramatically), and the video version is not that great of a trade off. It could be interesting maybe 1/4 episodes as video, as a monthly special, where the visual benefits could be planned for at actually used. Currently, you're cannibalizing the audio-version to make possible a video version, that outside of few visual bits have no business being video at all. Much of the performative banter that had the quality of a crafted show (in a good way) is completely ruined as we see the participants real-time fully throughout. It makes impossible playing along as a listener/viewer. What was a really fun narrative now feels like small separated comdy bits dispersed thoughout friends chatting. The removal of the little piece of fourth wall that existed apparently really mattered - we couldn't see you when "not playing the narrative". The stage that the audio version sets is much more cohesive and much (!) stronger. The overall pacing and some segments almost demand viewing, rather than listening, at the show's worse for it.
That being said, show's still goat. But since "video-fication" it's dropped from a rock solid 3/10 to a 1/10.
Geoff really needs to put more effort and less thought into these segments come the new year

You don't bring me joy Geoff. You bring me suspicion. I know you do alot of bits but you often come off as insecure and angry. I wish you had a non comedy outlet where you could show me who you really are. You're never Earnest, which is fine. I just wish you were more often because I don't want to think of you as malicious(I find you quite funny) but you give me that vibe.
10 hour average phone screen time, and staying in on NYE because she’s scared - Marika needs to go out and touch some grass
