Rotary E-Club Thane Smart City- (Food Donation Drive) corona lockdown Covid19

Thane: Rotary Club of Thane Smartcity with support of Dosti Imperia residents at Thane Manpada came up with great initiative of food donation drive project. As during this Covid-19 crisis many eateries in thane have shut down for the general public, there are few places that are still serving up wholesome langar to the daily wages workers, jobless and homeless people.
Rotary Club of Thane Smartcity with support of Dosti Imperia residents conducted a food donation drive within complex. Many residents among the complex came forward and donated generously to this drive. Within two days’ time period this drive collected around 600 kg of raw food grains which mainly includes (250 kg of Rice, 150 Kg Dal, 50 ltrs oil, 50 Kg Sugar and 25 kg Salt).
Further the donation was given to Gurudwara at Patlipada. Gurudwara at patlipada have been organizing langar and providing food to around 2500 people across nearby areas of Patlipada and Manpada. Preventive measures are being used to ensure that the langar food is cooked in the cleanest way possible.
