Thanks for this, Elliot! An interesting chat with the man behind one of the best labels currently. Like you, I’m so looking forward to The Bride Wore Black as a Truffaut fan. I’m also really looking forward to their announcements, as they’re releasing films that used to come from other labels regularly, but Action films seem to have taken over. I think this has convinced me to get the Cosa Nostra box set. I wish that I had more money to spend, but I guess my ‘to watch’ pile would just get even higher.
Personally I’d love someone to get the rights to release Imprint’s catalogue over here. No doubt there are other labels that have lots of films I’d be happy to invest in. The UK Criterion releases are a shadow of the US list, for one. I try to look at it as saving me money, but I still import some.
I’d love more interviews with people behind the labels, you’ve found an unmet demand here!
Second that Imprint comment. I find myself loving some of their selection of movies, especially some of the more Adventure genre movies but Imprint is double the price of what it should be imo.

Love to watch these interviews with boutique labels, provide great insight into this niche! I have so far got two Radiance releases (Gambling Boss and pre-ordered Yakuza Graveyard) and have been on the verge of getting the Half-Year Bundle but decided I'd be more selective (due to space issues and costs etc). I adore the direction they are going and look so forward go exploring new releases from various countries. Also I may just have to get the first Franco Nero boxset as it looks so well prepared with tons of features and really hope it gets Radiance off the mark with selling boxsets!

Great interview, I would love it if got more of this type of content. In the latest Sight & Sound Radiance Film has an ad that shows some new titles. Il prefetto di ferro , Goodbye & Amen, Le Combat dans l’île, Un maledetto imbroglio, a Dino Risi comedy box set (3 films), Un témoin dans la ville, and I think one more that I can't remember right now...
