    Careful. Just received an order. They are sending out C123A's with only 9 years 4 months left on them. Not even close!

    My local gun store has these batteries for my Defender Ultra.A box of 12 is18.00, which is great.
    He was closed on Monday so I got 2-123a-at Dollar General.
    With tax included, it was 14.00 and some change.
    Next time, I'll wait on my Surefire batteries.

      In most cases the 16650 fit and work great if it takes 2xCR123

      K2 Energy brand LFP 123A rechargeable batteries are safe to use in any Surefire flashlight that accepts standard lithium CR123 batteries.

      Rechargeable 16650ies are much cheaper and work also. Also its more ecological.

    Still using outdated battery technology. Just switch to 18650s. Only reason I won’t buy a surefire is because you don’t make lights that use rechargeable cells. A dual 123 light setup is fucking pointless when 18650s exist.

    • @Gieszkanne
      @Gieszkanne Před rokem

      In most of their lights which need two CR123 16650ies work great.

      The Surefire DFT (dual fuel tactical) lights accept 18650 batteries.

      @@allemander ahhhh yes the rare dft released in summer 2022 haha. Dude…my point is their flagship models don’t have it. Surefire is still trying to sell all their 123 branded battery stock. It’s a fucking trash business model. If they got on board with rechargeable cell tech like everyone else did 10 years ago they would have sold the fuck out of lights and I would have bought one myself. But unfortunately they are behind the curve because they are pretentious and obviously over priced. When it comes to an edc light…or a weapon light…having a larger rechargeable cell battery is simply better. Period. Everyone knows it except surefire. Surefire needs to abandon 123 cells that fucking die by just sitting idle. Trash ass old tech.

      Will they accept any 18650 or only the SF 18650 batteries?

      @@seanyo2222 I’ve used these in my DFT without issue, I got them from Zebralight online:
      “Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A 18650 Li-ion Flat Top”. They’re pretty standard cells so I would imagine any 10A or higher cell would power the DFT. It most likely won’t turn on with a lower amperage cell.
