Fun fact: In the original special, Chilled's last words are to tell his men to warn his family of the Super Saiyan that killed him.
This accidentally CREATES the legend of the Super Saiyan, and by extension creates the reason Freeza wanted to destroy the Saiyans.
So Bardock might have just created a bootstrap paradox.
Thank goodness this special isn't Canon.
Canon or not, I'm just hyped that my favorite character got a super Sayian state...even if they did mess up and made him look more like SSJ2. It kinda works for me
In a canon version the legend of the super saiyan wouldn't exist in Bardock's original timeline because DBZ(and by extension abridged) operates on multiverse theory.

14:02 is a call back to the Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z (I think) where during Goku and Vegeta's fight on Earth, he referred to Goku's father as "an average fighter, but a brilliant scientist" before he threw a "moon-like" ki blast into the sky implying Bardock invented the technique. Not canon to the story of course, just a weird early translation/script change.
Tl/Dr: It's an early script joke from DBZ.

I used to say that pineapple is an abomination performed upon pizza… Now I say that pineapple is what you put on pizza when you want to protect it from me!
"Jumping the Shark" is a phrase used when a show starts going to ridiculous lengths compared to the original premise. In this case, it would be Bardock getting sent to the past for no reason.
The phrase was born from an episode of Happy Days, where the Fonz literally jumps over a shark while water-skiing.

The "elite warriors must learn dance choreography" thing is a callback (call forward?) to the Ginyu Force and Cooler's armored squadron.
"Shark -jumping" or "Jumping the shark"
Ok so in the 70s there was a popular tv show called Happy Days, but by the 5th season they literallly had an episode where the cool character jumped a shark on waterskis. It was basicly a stunt to because by that time they were out of quality stories and had to do more crazy things to get people to keep watching. Spectacle up, quality down. A lot of tv shows end up doing the same, and people refer to "jumping the shark" when this shift happens. /Bringing one-shot character Bardock back after 30 years for a nonsensical time travel resurrection story to fight freeza's ancestor/ came out of f@$ing nowhere. What's funny is the character himself is aware of it and makes him so mad he goes super saiyan.

The “ I am now bearing your child” line from a kick makes a heck of a lot more sense than Bardock, bending over one of those kind of things, and spreading them cheeks. Bardock, having traveled back in time, is technically be the progenitor of the sayens as we know them. His transformation was where the super sayen legend came from before Goku did it again.

So, basically the special implies that Bardock was hit SO hard by frieza's attack that it sented him all the way to the past.
Bardock was the first supersaiyan that saved the entire saiyan race from Lord Chilled during their conquest of Plant Plant. He also became the father of all warrior Saiyans for kicking one of the little saiyans that made him/her pregnant.

Pineapple on pizza for flavor, yes, but you run into issues with the moisture; pineapple releases a lot of water when it cooks. In a hot enough oven (like most professional pizza ovens), this isn't that much of a problem, but it can still result in soggy pizza.
The solution? _Mushrooms._ Mushrooms will actually dry out in a professional pizza oven because of the temperature, but will actually absorb the liquid released by the pineapple pretty readily. This prevents the mushrooms from drying out, and prevents the pizza from getting soggy. And has the added benefit of being _delicious._
