Since english is not his first language, I don't think it's fair to judge his intelligence to his knowledge about birds names in english.
After all he talks and understands more languages than most humans do and magpie is actually crow. So he thinking that it's called a crow when it's a crow is understandable.

But in this instance these are Australian magpies, and they are very different to Australian crows too. The magpies and crows in Australia are very different again to their European cousins. When Australia was settled, scholars documented the flora and fauna after European species. There are native Oak trees (Silky Oak) however, they are infact not Oak trees at all, they are similar. Same goes with the maggies and crows. I wouldn't expect anyone to know this, unless they have been to Australia.

7:25 this is an old clip, this was on Mindcrack marathon, and that is OMGChad, he wore a bandana because he was dying his hair red, and he had a hotkey for streaming because he and his friends had a charity streaming marathon, he took a nap while his friend continued (this is also how he got alerted by a friend in the middle of the night) I also witnessed this live.

To be fair, he's actually right in that Magpies, Crows, Ravens, etc., all belong to the Corvidae family. So he was on the right track, but I'm pretty sure they're still considered separate species and can't interbreed.
Crows in Sweden are not all black, they belong to the species Hooded crow (Corvus cornix) and they are light gray and black, look similar to magpies
