My elder sister Ruth Owich, we are alive and kicking because of this girl who denied herself a lot, alot, to see us thrive even when her marriage went south. I really do appreciate this girl. I'll one day publicly acknowledge her.May God keep her to see this day.❤
Lynn am a patient at Texas cancer center, and also your fun. To be honest this woman is a live saver. He staff are incredible and are really supportive. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and am telling you today I can stand and say God is doing great things in this hospital. I am proud of her and GOD is going to take her far.
❤
Hi Catherine, My classmate in Misikhu Girls Secondary school.
If you are a Male having Breast Cancer ,....I wish Lynn would Host you to shed light on that
Soo many people DONOT know that Men also get Breast Cancer .
May the Lord Rapha, heal you
Receive ur healing n finances in Jesus name

My Sister Nancy did exactly that. She helped our parents to educate some of us yet she had her own family. She was earning peanuts at the time but she sacrificed for us. I am one of her beneficiaries.
I will forever be grateful to Texas cancer center. My auntie received cancer treatment in 2019 stage 4 and she is a survivor who bounced back to health todate. Your staff were simply the best.
Nice to see Dr. Catherine Nyongesa! She was my mum-in-law's doctor at KNH. 20 years on, our mama is still going strong...a cancer warrior! Indeed with proper management, cancer is not a death sentence! Thanks daktari!
When a door opens, supporting you siblings is noble because you are shutting the poverty door😍
Catherine is such a darling
Thank you for educating your siblings and doing all you did to your family.
Most of today's children would tell you that it is the parents responsibilities.
The blessings of parents are important especially when a child is obedient.
May God continue blessing you. You and your husband have done what very few people have done.
I humble when I see that TEXAS CANCEL HOSPITAL, WOW!
Our mum is a living testimony tht cancer is not a death sentence.Dr nyongesa n her entire team was there for us n mum.Till now our mum i still here with us
Lynn this interview with Daktari just triggered something, and I have cried and cried infact sobbing Lynn
Few years ago, mother was diagonised with breast cancer, after surgery,a follow up was scheduled at KNH ,Apparently Daktari had taken up the matter,I met her on few occassions, true to the words she never encourages gloomy faces, hopelessness, she gave a radiology schedule for mother ,unfortunately mother lost the fight just few days to the first session. That reminder call came in ,it just broke me up "Priscah has passed on" were painful to say but yes,I had to say them
Thank you Daktari for the kind words
I'm already so fascinated that her classmates contributed towards her 3rd term fees. Let me keep watching! 🎉🎉
Kudos for supporting your siblings. I supported my three sisters in high school, college and even started two businesses for one of them when she and her family had no food. Now that they are okay, what I get is abuse and hate you cannot imagine. They say tenda wema nenda zako; I am glad I helped my father to educate them and never expected gratitude from doing this. I admire those who give from their heart expecting nothing in return. All I ever wanted was for my siblings to excel in school and succeed in life.
I had a sister who would keep you I her house for more than two years as a house girl then take you to college.
Me and you....same whatsapp group. But we are blessed!
I hear you and feel you.
Being a first born. I have educated and set up my siblings too.
It is tenda wema nenda zako

Education is the mirror of life I took my daughter back to school after having 2kids and boy oh boy she makes heads turn in the airplane she works at and I’m proud of her today this are stories that makes me happy 😊
Catherine was my mum’s doctor from Texas to Kenyatta hospital; very kind to my mum until her demise
I share the same, same story, 8 years ago. From Texas to KNH. The lady deserves her flowers...
@@myles802, I’m a warrior of 6 years
Thanks Lynn for having Dr. Catherine Nyongesa on the show. She was my late Mum's doctor in 2016 partly at Texas and KNH. God bless her
It's really inspiring to see how she helped her siblings get an education. I'm a kikuyu but I'm sorry to say that we're not very supportive of our siblings. My sister is married to a Luo, he helped his siblings get an education and even went on to help his extended family. God has really blessed them. They both have successful careers and their kids are doing very well in university here in America
Kudos Dr Nyongesa. She was my Mum's Dr at Kenyatta hospital in early 2020 just as covid pademic entered Kenyatta. She is gracious as she speaks to the family about their loved one's condition. Though Mum went to be with the Lord in May she left us coz we believe it was God who rested her. Thank you Lynn for hosting Dr Nyongesa. More grace to you both lovely ladies.
Great to hear that we do have Drs in Kenya dealing with cancer. I am a breast cancer survivor but luckily I am in Diaspora and got free treatment. I am about to retire and come back home and I have identified a place to go for check ups. Thanks Dr. for the Nobel idea of starting a place for us.
Thanks lynn for bringing dr nyongesa on the show today she is such an inspiration its not easy to live with a long term condition having a doctor who understands and is patient enough is already healing on it's own❤❤
A proud Misikhu girl alumni here... Very proud of you mama. 🤩
Oooh wooow congratulations miskhuan she's a gem
Thank you Lynn for facilitating such an inspiring discussion with Dr. Nyongesa. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I found the doctor's perspective on healing and cure to be particularly impactful. "Doctors cure and God heals" is a powerful sentiment that resonates deeply.
It would be an honor to have Dr. Nyongesa present to the United Nations Women and Leadership course, where her journey and expertise could serve as a valuable resource for aspiring women leaders.
On a broader note, Dr. Nyongesa's message that cancer is not a death sentence is a vital one. My own journey has provided invaluable lessons and instilled a deeper sense of wisdom. I urge all Kenyan women to prioritize their health by scheduling regular mammograms, particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
By working together, we can empower women and promote early detection for a healthier future.
I really love listening to Dr Nyongesa. I am a breast cancer survivor since 2016 and really getting motivated by her encouraging words. Thanks Lynn.
You have never been this excited in any of episodes like you were on this episode...God bless Lynn
Yes Lynn, we may not all type on the comment section but know that we are proud of you.. thanks for bringing us real stories of what God has done. Iam inspired
Humility is the way to describe Dr. Nyongesa...my colleague @Nairobi hospital for a long time ...I appreciate you doc
A very inspiring story. Yaani it's possible to come from so far. She definitely inherited that go-getter attitude from her father. Wow, Dad went back to school in his adulthood.

Dr. Catherine is exceptional soul congratulations on your outstanding achievements,my late mum Mary would really be proud of you,she was your patient at hurlingham in 2012.

Texas is a very good facility for cancer patients...my my was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 and was admitted at texas hurligham in 2018 where she succumbed....unfortunately when we went to collect her things the day she died...her phone was missing😢
Thanks Lynn for hosting the amazing Dr Nyongesa. Have enjoyed watching the show. Will refer a Cancer patient in Nairobi to her. Blessings
Gos bless Doctor Nyongesa...my dad is your patient and he is doing well day by day ..being at Texas ain't like going to other hospitals..
What i loved most of Doc. Beyond my expectation back in 2013 - very approachable, i realised with her every patient is important. She cd pick my calls even 1.00am whatever time and give a conclusive answer for whatever the problem/ emergency. So humble
I first came across Dr. Catherine Nekesa on her interview on KTN Home and felt a lot admiration for her. May God continue blessing her as she gives people hope. So proud of the Luhya daughter
Oooh my God Dr. Catherine Nyongesa,i admire this lady since 2017 the time i knew her, such a sweet soul

This really inspired me, God bless you Dr Catherine and Lynn for a great show.
I was almost giving up in taking after my siblings, but I changed my prayer and asked God to bless me more to cater for them, and since that day, i have never lacked,
Currently am looking after my siblings including my mum, and God has even expanded me than before, besides my family now i can also cater for others whom am working with at my company

Women winning in these spaces show how far we have come as a society, 👏🏾👏🏾 Dr. Nyongesa. I pray that we make more strides in the Healthcare sector especially cancer treatment because the amount of money spent abroad, read India, on health care is unimaginable. Great episode as always Lynn.

Hi Lynn, what an inspiring woman she is.
I understand too well of the challenges for l work in Oncology & Heamatology ward.
Keep going doc, you are doing an amazing career and very proud you are giving back to the community 🎉❤.

Dr. Nyongesa is an amazing and loving person. She treated our late Dad and the way she handled him was so amazing. Thank you Doc. Good job you are doing.
Thank you Lynn for this,,,,, thank you Doc. we bless God for this platform
Seeing the pic of my grandma(grandie in purple headscarf) on that wall gives much hope in life and must bring her back to just take a pic with her pic. I hope everyone that walks in Texas has hope that cancer is curable. My grandpa is well now and always talks high of Dr. 😊
So inspiring. God bless you doc and Lynn. Our God is so faithful.
Dr. Nyongesa is cool, I have worked with her before, she's very approachable, simple and humble. Being a breast cancer survivor(she wasn't my doctor though) but I met her survivors group somewhere in a function, sat with them on the same table and I heard only positive things about daktari, she even hosted them in her home in shags for Chrismas... Which doctor can do that, utasikia ati ooh it's not ethical, ooh conflict of interest...
I've loved Dr Nyongesa in the show. A very down to earth lady. Keep it up, the good work.
Wow! Such a unique soul ❤❤
I agree with you all. This Dr is very humble and helpful. She once assisted my patient who didn't have a place to stay in Nairobi while undergoing radiotherapy 🎉🎉.I am forever thankful

So much inspiration. Keep it up Lynn.Dr.Nyongesa i have gotten the inspiration from you to keep working. One day i will testify.
Such an inspiring ,interesting lady and the honesty 💯,she's a vibe and thanks to her for venturing into the tough field to bring hope to many families,God bless you doc.
Thanks Lynn and thanks Doctor for the great, inspiring talk. Daktari’s life in the village in early days sounds similar to mine. I’m fifth born and I’m the one who has been lifting the family up. I started helping while I earned the fewest peanuts you can imagine of. Our firstborn has never assisted even a single person. She even tries to tear up the family. I salute the firstborns who take responsibility for their siblings/family.
