- Dr.Nyaboke Nduati has achieved what the majority of us would call success. She is a blessed mother of three, a wonderful wife, a PHD holder, and the head of one of the country's best schools, but something that happened to her when she was nine keeps holding her back.
Today, she is here to break the silence hoping her story will put an end to that act

Lynn their is an interview done on Nicholas kioko channel about an intersex guy. I feel
you could have handled the interview better than it was. The guy needs help. 😢
Exactly uyo kioko isn't good enough...mambo ya watu wazima awachane nayo..Lynn tafta Dan..
I am also from Kisii where property is divided among boys and nil to girls. I personally chose to divide all my estate to all my four kids(2boys and 2 girls) equally. Actually my estate after my demise should benefit all my grand children not even my grown boys and girls(All married but one(last born). Guys, we are Africans, let us love all our children equally. Boys and girls are are equally good to us parents. You will never know the amount of support you can get from the daughters you are letting go. Me I know what each child can benefit the parents.
@@balancedviewpoint7418Yes Kisiis we do this a lot.I hope my dad wont be like this.He has been so violent that we left him to live alone. I feel sorry for my brothers lacking a mentor. But we had to save our mum.
Hello Lynn, there is a lady you interviewed back then that she was divorced bcz she could not get a child, she is now happily married
Tuletee hii follow up
There are talk show hosts and then there's LYNN NGUGI. the way you conduct your interviews is admirable... top tier!!! you should be studied. infact, you should be an independent unit being studied at HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL! you are a powerhouse and a Hallmark of excellence. may you grow from strength to strength and become a reference point for others, particularly those who feel it's impossible to be done!!! you are an inspiration..... I stan! HAPPY NEW YEAR TRIBE...
I agree with you.Lynn has her unique way of interviewing her guests, allowing them space to tell their story without being hurried, etc.Only lynn can do that🎉take your flowers 🎉now Lynn.
Dear Henry,🙏
You know I appreciate this, right. Truly, deeply, honestly appreciate this. Thank you for your kind words 🙏
God Bless
@@margaretmbae1928Dear Margaret, I receive the flowers and appreciate your love and support 🙏
Wueh, Henry amesema yote!! You don't finish their sentences and don't pre empt their thoughts, you don't channel the story the way you want it to go. And there is no time limit. For real, for such a time as this, giving each person space for their own authentic voice You're a midwife, Lynn.
Wow...Henry has put into words what most of us think of Lynn. This is truly kind.
Thank you Henry and thank you Lynn.
I am so touched. Nobody deserves this. You are one brave woman, Nyaboke. This has triggered a memory I have buried. Some 26 years ago, my marriage almost broke up because my MIL insisted that my daughter undergo the cut. I hadn't gone through it myself. She would spit in derision and murmur: egesagane whenever she came into her sight or passed by. I fought for my daughter to the extent of almost exiting my marriage. I stood up to my MIL, all and sundry. My husband "finally" stood with me.
The pressure by society was overwhelming.
It is well, Daktari. May the LORD bless and keep you!
I know we just bury it traumatize
@kairatouoliver8614 This one I am buying for myself, my daughter, and friends. If it helps save just one little gal; it will be worth it.
What a story! What courage! What a woman! What calm and grace! What a powerful message that is going to change so many lives!! Thank you 🙏🏾
The way am a committed member of LNN. All the way from Tuko, a committed member from Uganda. Every morning at my office desk as i open my computer, the first thing is run to CZcams to see the day's episode. Thank you lynn for blessing us and we are always inspired, transformed, minds are awakened. With love, Hope is my real name just this is my lil broz profile.
We highly appreciate your presence🙏🙏
Me too, all the way from Zambia I have taught my sister, now she is becoming a pro😂
Nyaboke Nyaboke Dr. So inspiring
Am Zambian and have known her from Tuko.I find her voice comforting. She has so much respect for her guests and us the viewers.
Childhood traumas. Oh my goodness. I can clearly relate to Doc's story. Violence, passing on of parents, FGM....Very traumatising indeed. You're a strong woman💪 Thank you Lynn for this episode. You're indeed a power house. One day l'll share mine😮
I have noticed that in all these stories the main thing that causes trauma is abuse during childhood. People never really heal from these kinds of abuse. May God protect all children
Once one recognizes the trauma you can search within and seek help to overcome bcoz you might pass it to your children which will be a cycle
Women go through a lot. Behind every smile there is a story.
She's a superstar and a good mentor where my daughter goes to school. She does her work professionally. Well done Dr Nduati.
We appreciate you.
When God lines up your path to destiny, no human being can interrupt it. Dr. Nyaboke's purpose in life was well aligned right from birth, and His grace manifested every step hitherto. Maybe what I can feel as a devastating or painful episode is that of being molested by someone she knew, albeit naive. But the good thing is, Jehovah directed her to a "REAL" man who helped her process her past slowly jini ya maji. Big up Nyaboke. "You can define your own power. Don't let people do it. " powerful partying shot👏👍🙌
She didn't define it she has opportunity that made her spread her wings if those opportunities did appear the story will be different everybody no matter what we go through we have potential the difference is the opportunity aligned on our path that's the difference
Dr Nyaboke Nduati you are so beautiful, you just talk kind words
There is hope at the end of the tunnel.May i get power for what i am going through.
Wow, Lynn what a show, what a guest and what an incredible learning curve. It's quite a rebuilding story. She has given purpose to her pain. I agree with you on that Lynn.
Nilifanyiwa yes but that is the past that helped me learn to pick up the pieces and redefine my purpose to my destiny. That's what experiences teaches us in life journey guys. Lynn thanks for impacting the larger audience, globally. On that set, you are two awesome beauties in black. You look unapologetically stunning, the Kenyan incredible women of purpose.
Dr. Nyaboke baba you are unapologetically beautiful and a woman of purpose out to change the stereotypes and or the cultural norms that have been outdated if I can call that. I come from kisii and can readily relate to what you are saying. I grew up in the 60s and 70s when the circumcision practice was a rule rather than an exception. But, growing up and getting children in the 80s and the 90s, many things had changed and the practice of female circumcision was kind of hedging off. I and my wife decided we can't subject our two daughters to such dehumanising act. That was it. Today, all our children(2 boys, 2 girls) are adults and successfully married in/out without any problem or regrets whatsoever.
Nyaboke, the children traumas you experienced as you are narrating it on GBV in-house is sad and by all means unacceptable. I witnessed first hand the same in my parents but our mother took a bold step to educate us albeit the violence till I achieved university degree. I promised that I will never touch my wife or allow my children to suffer any sort of ridicule. Many Kisii men are very violent as you are saying. I can confirm it because I am from there. It's basically the choice that one has to make. I chose love, purpose and peace over violence. Today I live a fulfilled life full of peace, incredible family love and exceptional mental wellness.
I have given a bit of my side to help validate Nyaboke's story and secondly to motivate Lynn's fans that life happens in not very kind or smooth path but one with lots of disappointments and rough terrains. The only positive affirmation is that such experiences don't define you or your destiny but purpose does. Every nasty experience you pass through guys teaches you courage and a reason to live to your purpose. Life is not meant to be that smooth and free-flowing. Each one of us has a a side part that is often silent to the public gallery. The fact that Nyaboke is coming out with a traumatic experience coupled with a book to be serialised as one to be remembered in Kenyas anals of history is something special. Nyaboke baba, I affirm you for the courage and intention to bring this out. The book and your story stands a great lesson to the kisii, Kalenjin and Maasai culture. I believe it shall serve as a great reference point.
Lynn, keep bringing relevant contents like this that impacts society positively. As always, you are our Kenyan Queen of hearts. I pray for your health and mental wellness as you keep touching lives.
I dated a guy from your area. 2006. I remember he used to refer to me as 'egesagane ke". And his friends would refer to me that way. Initially I didn't know what that meant until a gal from Kisii told me, and she told me it's very offensive. Mark you, that's at postgraduate level😢. I felt so offended. I left the relationship
I never knew that the Kisiis do that.
Exactly what happened to me...aki Lynn,i would like to share my story too...
Finding power in experiences❤A very beautiful statement.
Thanks Lynn for bringing Dr on the platform 🙏
She is beautiful, her smile is contiguous. Love her already and her story is inspiring us.Thank you Lynn ❤️
why is your childhood like mine, I didn't want to be called egesagane too! And struggled alot with wanting acceptance. Thank you for sharing your story am glad we made it out!
Same as me gal one day I will share my story it has cost me alot I wish I was big to talk for my self I regret that thing
True, that was the language they used to entice us. I wish I knew better 😢
It's very traumatizing. It was done to me at 14 years old. I'm now 60 and I've never been able to talk about it. The shame is real. I was not aware, and it just happened one evening in our sitting room. I will never forget the experience. I won't wish it for any girl.
I feel you. Same here
Wah wah I real I feel for you that's madness
Incredible story..being true to yourself and embracing healing by having grace to forgive and mercy not to inflict pain to yourself or the other person who wronged you... keep on shining.. Good work Lynn ❤❤❤
Asante sana, Nyaboke, for sharing your moving and inspirational story. Your strength and character shines through and the lessons you share prompt each of us to examine our role in supporting people and ending harmful cultural traditions. We are proud of you!

Happy 2024 Lynn and thank u for keeping us yearning for for these great stories. Dr. Boke is very inspirational and will touch quite some live with her stories. Thanks
Lynn the stories you bring are not just anything out there but are things that inspire all of us. Not for views but for building and inspiring all of us
This is my very first time commenting on your shows Lynn. I will also finally subscribe after writing this. Am so sad that this lady went through that. My oldest sister went through it too which breaks my heart. Somehow my other sister and I were supposed to go though the same time but am so glad that God gave us a light to say no to our mom the one and only time she mentioned it. My mom is so happy that she didn't put us through that. This lady is a brave woman and may God bless her always .
Who else noticed she zoned out while looking at the floor when she was narrating how the dad told them to look at their mum for the last time😢
You could see the sight of her mother in her eyes.... glory to God she has been healed.
Everything happens with a purpose so we can be able to learn Lynn happy new year 🎉🎉🎉
Let me listen carefully to this one, , thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Such a beautiful soul. I can resonate with every bit of your story needless to say that mine is almost a replica. Thank you for being bold and Glory to God to your healing.
Dr Nyaboke, your story is inspiring and thanks Lynn for bringing her to us. I have placed my book order on Amazon and will definitely gift my friends.
This takes a strong woman and courage to come out and share such a story.
You deserve the best girl!!
So many children are going through hell.
May God bless you as you mentor the youth.
Thanks Lynn for bringing this out. It'll surely encourage many. God bless
I know her. She went to my high School . Backbthen she was soo quiet and very drawn to her. Now i know😢
Am spoken to and touched . God give me the strength to step out and get uncomfortable this year... Freedom begins where fear ends
Oh soo touching. Have never known you have experienced this kind of pain cz you are always smiling.
You are strong Dr . Very good conversation Lynn.
Have also been ashamed of myself for 2 years, keeping quiet about everything and not telling people what am going through but when the year started I prayed to God to give me the strength to start opening up because I was loosing myself 😢have not started the journey of healing but I know I'll make it...
May God give you strength and May his blessing be upon you. God loves you and you are perfect. Don’t live in fear. Favor is your potion in Christ.

Sending hugs of comfort. ❤ God loves you and no situation defines you coz you are stronger. May you rise and shine. Blessings
Here hyping for the book to be released as a Netflix series! What a story of triumph! This reminds me of the ‘Maid’ series on Netflix, not exactly the same story..but No Tears for the Cherished is definitely a story that the world needs to see ❤️❤️❤️
Dr. Nyaboke has quite a powerful story. I admire the work she’s done to heal the pain of her past. This will inspire a lot of people stuck in the trauma of their past to see that true healing and peace is possible as long as one is willing to do the work.
Truly inspiring testimony of overcoming against all odds!!! God's Gracious Hand was upon her all the while in the heart wrenching suffering!!! congratulations 👏👏 doc!!!
Good morning and a happy new year to team LNN.

Very inspiring story. Nice 👍 job Lynn
Dr Nyaboke good job for coming out and sharing with the world
ION you look like Esther Wahome of the famous Kuna Dawa song
Morning Family 🙏💕 Happy New Year 🎊❤❤🌹🌹
Dr nyaboke is also very courageous because not many ladies from her area come in the open to talk about. They're really silenced by society. One hurtful thing is that for the ladies they went to some dingy place and the boys were really taken care of walienda hosi. Pole sana if youve experienced this.
I affirm you, Dr. Nyaboke for what you have become after hypnosis therapy. God purposed you to a good man. It's not easy to deal with someone who hasn't processed childhood trauma that was as extreme as yours. On a lighter note, it was God that ended to a hubby that comes from another community. Everything happens for a reason, and I, too, appreciate and affirm your great man. Pat him for me.
Fans, therapy heals past experiences successfully. Borrow a leaf from Nyaboke and many more guests that have featured in Lynn show.
Lynn, thanks for this guest coming to enlighten the world with such an inspiring story.

I am presently shading tears. Thank you for your courage. ❤
Good morning everyone one , another day of inspiration moments
Lynn, its hard to change the larger society or regulate how individuals behave in their respective diverse environments. People grow in unique settings that triggers or circumstances drive them to. The best we can do as individuals is to try and process the past for the purpose of healing and moving on. However, the first step MUST be forgiving. Until you forgive the tormentors that impacted your life negatively, the heavy load inside your unconscious mind can weigh you down. Just forgive guys and know that counselling is the best avenue to your mental wellness.
Congrats Dr Boke! So proud of you cuz and thanks Lynn for the platform that gives many the opportunity to share their uplifting stories. Blessings!
You are so beautiful Dr Nyaboke, God is great; we can figure out the paedophile that sexually abused you and they'll live with the guilt for the rest of their lives as l guarantee you have had a better life than them a million times. Adversities only make us stronger when God is with us. May you n Ur gorgeous family always be blessed and may God always walk with you. We are really very proud of you. We r hope that your mum is kept by God in a restful place forever.
Dr.Nyaboke, you are smart, glowing and have an amazing smile all through. I have connected with your story and i am encouraged to keep pushing on despite me being an orphan.
