Not a shot was fired, unless you count the murdering of unarmed Ashley Babbit by a DC policeman. I saw video of this so-called insurrection and it consisted of a bunch of mostly older people milling around, not destroying or threatening anyone. It is truly terrifying to intervene on behalf of someone being attacked. I very nearly didn't once when the only genuine opportunity of my life so far to do so presented itself. The thought of what I would feel if my sister were the one needing saving and other men walked on by put me straight and gave me the conviction to do what we right. The modern west has a crisis of lack of courage in its men and I realised in those seconds of indecision how easy it is to walk away and why we have to train our sons that courage is a virtue, cowardice is a shameful vice.
