Embarassing… she romanticizes the idea of being oppressed which no ACTUAL person who is would do. She wanna be a victim so bad 😂 🤦🏿‍♀️

I can't imagine being so bent out of shape about hair. It's just hair. Like do whatever you want. It's your head. Be free and whatnot. I can't understand gate keeping a hair style.

There were laws in parts of the South in America legislating black women to cover their hair in kerchiefs.
It's never been "just hair," and the fact that ◻️ politicians politicized and legislated hair first proves who first made hair a big deal.
Instead of focusing your ire on the valid feelings of 🖤 women, focus it where it makes sense: on racists.
And if you refuse to because the former is more convenient to you, you are the racist.😂

And gatekeeping on race only fosters division. Pretty sure white people have been braiding their hair for thousands of years. Is the issue that the braids are smaller and close to the scalp? You own that, do you? SMH.

The term familiar was commonly used to refer to a spiritual guardian or demon supposedly attending and attending/obeying/serving a witch, often said to assume the form of a close companion animal.
Idk if that's that particular usage of the word she was going for or not, but she's clearly looney.

Calling you a ‘familiar’ is like calling you an animal or pet, but not in a cute way because she meant it to be an insult, which is so hypocritical

I’m a hairstylist. Black women and white women lose the same amount of hair when taking out braids. It’s hair that naturally detaches everyday (50 to 100 strands a day) but it’s braided and can’t fall away. Folks put so much onto race when race is a social construct.

I don't care what that woman says. I love your videos. I love that you make it clear that we are all sisters and we can all be who or what we want to be without fear of being tormented for it. Because of you, I'm not afraid to tell another woman how beautiful her hair is again. No matter what race she is, she deserves to hear when she's having a good hair day, and because of your and your videos, I'm happy to say that I can go back to telling women that without feeling as though I have somehow stepped on someone else's racial toes in the process. The hate she spreads is quickly killed by the love you share. So share, my friend. We're here for you.

I have been getting braids in my hair since I was a little girl. My foster mom was Jamaican, and my hair is super thick, coarse and curly. If anything having braids in my hair helps it grow faster and keeps it in check.

There are so many sad things that happen in the world and people choose to focus on hair care and styles. I suppose I’m just old but I get cross about war, the abuse of those who are weaker, poverty, inequality, modern slavery to name but a few of the world’s ills. I do not understand people getting all bent out of shape about hair care and styles.🤷🏼‍♀️

you’re killing it! ❤ i literally wear a bonnet, braids, rosemary oil and all of the above. i’m Italian and i’m extremely white but i have very corse hair, it doesn’t grow, & it’s always braking and frizzy…and i’ve never thought ever, that i was appropriating cultural. i’m from detroit, & never has any one of my peers ever said i was too. i really don’t know where these people are coming from with all there hate in there hearts. 😂 there are different hair types and you are 100% right. 😂

I grew up wearing bonnets as a baby and child to prevent tangles when I slept but stopped as an adult because for whatever reason, bonnets became out of fashion among white people in the 70s or so, when straight, flat hair became a style and keeping volume and curls was less of a thing. That and blow dryers and curling irons, etc. White people needed bonnets before and wore them every. Single. Night. For hundreds of years.

Man I'm so confused. I've had braids my whole life. No box braids but other braids that where tight to my head. I've braided my cousin's hair because she biracial. Worn bonnets almost my whole life. Now that I'm sick and losing my hair I was informed by my doctor to wear a bonnet to protect the rest of my hair.

I'm so glad I came across your channel in my recommendations!! You are a bright light in this world!! Don't ever let them dim your shine! You have a beautiful ❤! Checking out your link to the bonnets, I was telling my husband and my oldest daughter I am wanting to get one. My youngest has one she doesn't use, but should because of how thick, coarse and curly it is. My oldest got one, and she likes using her's. I have multi textured curly hair, but nothing like my youngest daughter's hair lol. My oldest has thick, wavy hair, but finer texture. We're Hispanic with a variety of hair types.
Thank you for your kindness you share!

I got braids in Jamaica. 🇯🇲 I left them in for quite a while. The only reason I left them in was my hair was so dry. I want to get my hair braided again but also need information on how to keep it from drying out. I’m having two surgeries that will make it easier to have my hair braided. I bought my bonnets years ago before apparently anyone knew I was offending them.🤷🏼‍♀️ And don’t start we have a multi racial family. Going all the way back. Pretty sure they wore braids with feathers and beads also.

I’m not sure why she thinks white women lose their hair with braids. 😂😂😂 I’m 100% sure if a woman is losing her hair because of braids, the braids were not the issue. That is a medical or chemical induced condition. Does she think black people are the only race to ever wear braids?

What about black people getting blonde hair? Is that racism too? No. Hair is hair. Hair doesn’t hate. People hate. But I wish people would realize everyone is different and should only be judged by their actions and not their skin or hair.
