John Cena advertising wiper blades...
😂
WD-40 has a silicone based oil you can spray on your regular wiper blades. Works well to reduce squeaks and rubbing noises. Of course, do not forget to clean the windshield with a good autoglass cleaner and buff it with some RainX.
It's been a year, I would love to see a long term review
very useful. thanks!
Once you go with a silicone blade, you will never go back. My preference is the PIAA brand. Also, in some silicone wiper blades, you will get a wet wipes that actually puts the initial later of silicone onto the windshield. You will want to clean the window and apply that wet wipes before installing your new blades. Some, like these here, are impregnated with the silicone treatment in them. I don't think it is as consistent as the wipe on method, but the silicone blade is vastly superior to rubber. Especially if you are in a hot dry climate, like the southwest.
awesome
I also have the PIAA on my vehicles and my parents.
PIAA and Rain-X silicone wiper blades seem to be made at the same factory. They are pretty much the same blade. So can go with whichever have the best price in your area.
Ya me too !! Lol
Thank you for this!
welcome
Good demo!
Great review!
Question:what you think about Ice defence wiper blades for Jeep Cherokee We are in Canada with heaven snow ice winter ?
i buy blue red yellow and green silicone inserts off ebay - cant even get um off amazon - i love um - only down side, takes about a month to come in from thailand lol
Interesting review. Would like to see an update it goes through the paces of heavy rain and snow and at highway speeds.
Once the wipers set in, water will start beading off. When it rains, the first few wipes will wipe off any dirt/ stuff on the window, then the coated area will be exposed and water will start beading.
Trust me they are wonderful!
The Meto’s are a beam blade there nice giving you a more even pressure across the windshield and the other blade is just a standard wiper with a latex and Graphite blade
I think Michellin is offering silicon blades, I am going to try them this winter.
Good idea
Let's give them a shot, thanks for the review.
I had anxiety watching this video, always lay your wiper arm down between changes. Never leave it up. If you bump the wiper arm without the blade and it snaps back your wiper blade change costed you a windshield.
never thought of it, thanks for the tip
So yes they last but question with so many brands out there how long did yours last my Michelin Endurance XT Silicone wiper blade in Oregon WA area bought them 1 year ago and the driver side is just in the beginning stages of leaving streaks not bad but not at peak performance I’d say 60% left in the blade but 4-5 wipes to completely clear the windshield I’m probably gonna change them out in 2-3 months after this winter we are going through in 2021. Curious how long have yours last?
About to order me some 🙃🙃
If you need some rain come over to the west side for some wiper testing and dinner. My wife loves her Volvo XC90 T6 R-design based on your recommendation
...forgot. after COVID until then
I use Bosch brand because they are shaped to use the downforce of the air when driving. No gimmick with 'coating'. Better off to apply a specific windshield coating instead. Check out the Bosch!
cool, tx
Coatings aren't a "gimmick." It's common sense that you can spray certain things on your windshield for better wiper blade performance. That's like saying more than one layer of clear coat is a gimmick.
Have you had any smears and hazes while using it in the rain?
Nope. You?
@@everymandriver I’ve been wanting to buy one on Amazon but most of the reviews shows people that are satisfied with it and there are other people who ended up their windshield all smeared up badly that they had to clean it with alcohol or something which kind of concerns me by the pictures they posted. I’ll be getting some in the next week to see if it works
@@Jesus-yr7nk That's exactly why I went onto CZcams. How was your experience with Silicone blades
@@AustinsCoins well after a year of using them I haven’t had any problems, if you get any smears then just clean your wiper blades and windshield, problem solved
When you put your old wiper on your hood 😳
I swear by this exact blade for my truck. Absolutely wonderful. Everything stated in this video is 100% true. I wish they made a 27 and 17 conbo for the QX60! Any other suggestions?
I've always used Bosch wiper blades, recently, its been the Icons, which are very good blades, I'll be replacing the blades on my 2020 Explorer ST, as the oem blades are terrible.
First ever mod to my Ford Explorer ST was new wiper blades. Literally the worst blades I’ve ever gotten on a vehicle and this goes back 20 years
Why can't we get better 12 and 13 inch wipers for rear windows?
Don't know.
First! YO!
Question is, are they QUIET?
Yes
@@everymandriver Awesome! I'll link your video to one of my articles! Thanks!
The Bosch Gleams have always been my favorite. Never had an issue with them.
I thought is a John Cenna 😅
Did you know you are being used in another video?
Which one?
Never leave metal arm up as if it falls , well there goes a nice crack in windshield ! FYI
5 Goodyears from my first set of Meto blades
These are much less than some of the other silicone options. I’m going to give them a shot.
I still have them today!
@@everymandriver ...and here's the comment I was looking for. Thanks!
Silicone can take over 500 years to biodegrade. That’s how durable it’s designed to be.
I thought u john cenna
Thank you John Cena.
Most European vehicles use the silicone blade in a sprung metal casing... welcome to this century.
Thank you, it's nice to be here.
But how do they perform at highway speeds? Parked demo doesn't tell me anything.
This guys calf muscles are bigger than his brain
If you combined the size of both, then yes, bigger in size. Good comment.
Durable cases is a no brainer, just make a durable wiper, cases are for the trash.
too bad they don't have my car size
Yeah how old are the one's your replacing? The new one's don't last that long buddy 😢
Durable case? More plastic waste! A marketing ploy to make you think what you are getting is more premium. Packaging will have to be considered in future production as manufacturing gets more efficient. Wiper Blades are a racket. Shouldn't cost much but as everyone needs them and usually change them in the rain they gotcha. Silicon is definitely better as they perform better and last longer. Wish manufacturers would go to one connector. Fiddling with adapters sucks. The slide in was the easy solution. Now the whole support structure needs replacing. More waste. Rant over.
Question why didn't you not buy windshield blade at the auto store such as AutoZone or O'Reilly Advance Auto Parts and Napa
Why didn't I not buy....?
@@everymandriver your windshield blades from the auto store
Brad Haughton Everything I need is on Amazon and free delivery. It’s convenience.
@@everymandriver ok
Auto parts now are offering silicon blades, for years they didn't, because they make so much money from us. The first thing uou do is to clean your wipers with alcohol and wax your windshield with nufinish.
All new wipers perform well it’s over a reasonable amount time how the overall performance did unfortunately this video did nothing for my research except offer a brand I never heard of..
Ok.
ANCO are better then all of them and cheaper then all of them
2 much talk...get to the name and brand 1st
Sounds like someone is in a hurry LOL
