My parents used to bring us to Disney when we were kids and get these done. 30 years later we brought our kids, and after a conversation with the artist found out it was the same artist that did ours all those years ago that is now doing our kids cut outs. It was an amazing surprise..
I would get these as a child and then when we brought our girls. My girls don't have kids but have gotten some for their visits.
I am so glad that Disneyland did not close the silhouette shop there on main street. It is such a rare and wonderful treasure to have. As far as I know there are only a handful of places in the United Sates where this is still done.
This type of art is amazing! No drawing, traceing. Just a true artist cutting it from their abilities. Amazing artwork ❤❤❤

I did this with my son who was 2.5 years at the time. He kept moving but the artist captured him ....he's almost 18 one of most cherished momento 🥰💖 and Thank You Chris for always your positive messages💖💖💖

Wow, I remember in kindergarten they did this by cutting out shadows. Just by hand is crazy!!!
I had my sons done when they were little (they aren't anymore) and about five years ago we added my sister to my mom's and my monthly visits so we had ours done. They look fabulous on one my Disney wall.
I did this in August with my children. I adore them! If your kids are wiggly or otherwise adverse to waiting, you can take a photo of their profile. That’s what I did, as my toddler would’ve been a complete wildcard, even if it’s only 90 seconds. 😅

We have done these silhouette portraits a few times. My husband and I did one together when we visited together the first time. Them we had them done for both of our daughters when they were younger. Then we had one done for our 30th anniversary! I’m a huge fan of these portraits. They do such a great job with them every time!
I have mine from when I was three years old! I had them made for each of my daughters when they were both three years old & now we have them all displayed together in my home. I plan on following the tradition when my baby granddaughter turns three! 😊
I called it! About ten seconds in I was "He's talking about silhouettes.". I did this ages ago with Pluto, my favorite Disney character. Oh, I went with the frame option.

Yay!! We did this back in the 70s at Disney World when I was a kid. No tracing back then. It was done just like yours. We still have those silhouettes today.

My wife and I both had this done by our parents when we were children, then we went and got it done with our kids when they were young and now we have all of our silhouettes on our Disney wall. Such a great memory.

My mom has one of me and my brother when we were kids. I have one that I got of myself with the beast when I was in my early 20's. Beauty and the beast is one of my favorites and it's one of my favorite souvenirs.
I went back in March, intending to get my kids' silhouettes done while we were there. My husband wanted to catch the outdoor rides before it started raining again, and by the time we had time to go, they looked like hot messes, so I held off. When I changed my mind, the store was closed. Luckily I was told about just bringing a picture, so the next time I went, I got them done. They are so precious! We're going in ten days, and I think I'm going to have the kids sit for them this time. I'm so excited!
Our very first trip we got a silhouette of us done, and its amazing! Its framed on our wall. The artist was so quick and skilled, its truly amazing ❤

I love this! We took our kids every year for like five years and got one done so we have their silhouettes as they changed for that first five years that we went to Disney. It was great made a shadowbox and have them all placed inside forgot to get one this last time we went. They’re all about 20 now.❤❤❤

Hi Chris. Thank you so much for all the work you and your family put into the videos. My partner and I discovered the channel early in 2023 and used the videos for preparation for our trip this past December.
Despite having already been to the park myself, I was pretty rusty on the knowledge so these helped a lot. From educating us on how Genie Plus works, to the secret tips on foods and attractions. The videos made the trip.
We were both so bummed we never got the chance to see you on the 4 days we attended the park! But maybe next time.

Though we went before we knew about the silhouettes, you past video on Genie+ was so helpful. The information you shared helped me to craft 2 days that were a fabulous experience for my family. I had these done for my three kids on their first time to Disneyland and then right before the shut down (almost 20 years later) we had them done again. They hang one over the other in my house! Right next to the one I had done when I was a little girl.

Last time our family was in the park we had a silhouette of all 4 of our kids made and, in hindsight, I wish we had done them individually. Instead We chose to do all in one frame. Still a cool souvenir!
