Utilising machinary until it is worn entirely is more green than overproduction of consumer products turned to landfill.
Yes.. green religion is a sh...
Most western culture only care about green initiatives until it slightly inconveniences them.
That's how I live my life
I'm in Los Angeles living in an old 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan with over 266k miles on it. I plan on keeping my van indefinitely as long as I can keep it running.
Dang! At least clean that radiator to cool the truck better. Otherwise it’s perfect!
Im not surprised its a Japanese pickup truck.
Be careful some 60+ year old American will say it's Jap garbage lol
Africans are true example of how we should use something to the full potential.Respect from Europe
Thanks to attitudes like this, the two places are difficult to tell apart

@@Network126 At least you have access to the internet...
@@ferrochinabisleri1587 Well I work and pay bills and contribute to society... I just can't afford overpriced housing. Internet access in 2024 is just a basic need anyway now. It's even for free in the air.
...and how they don't use other things to full potential.
Driving your car untill EVERY part is worn completely out...that is something we can learn from
Except it’s a lot harder to do that with new cars
My two thousand and Seven Camry has 290,000kms it makes all kinds of noises. The engine is healthy. It's got a 5 Speed Manual Transmission.
Nah, rather maintain my car to the point that it out-lives me 😂 Mainting a car when we have the means to is something we should learn from
If you want to romantize being poor, you should try living like that. Come to Canada, we have it all set up now going forward to live like this.
We can't do that because of the law, passing 'car inspections'...
fyi, thats a 1975 datsun 620, same truck can be found in rural mexico too
Thats a 720, probably a 1980 model year. Most markets (such as the USA) had rectangular headlights but the early 1979-1981 fleetline models had 4 round headlights. It's definitely a pre-1982 as it still has the L20b vs the Z20/22/24 that later models had.
I love old cars
Me too they are all unique and have their own soul
@@andr589 me too. they remind me of my childhood especially 90s and 2000s cars
there is cars, but then there is this, this thing is like the half life 2 jalopy man, you can only call it a car because it still has all 4 wheels
@@mahuba2553 yeah the car in the video doesnt apply. think more of a 1996 corolla
Indeed old is gold
Thirty seven million kilametras 😅
Odometer stopped working 30yrs ago 😂
Modern Nissans break down at 37,000 miles. They dont make em like they used to.
I have yet to see a modern Nissan breakdown before 37,000 miles. They usually all have 290,000 miles. I think you’re missing a couple zeros.
You’re the lucky one. my buddy works at the dealership in the service department. they have a pile of transmission cores from brand new Nissans. When I say pile I mean over 100 units on pallets and that’s one month.
@@samHagar-nc3ni ya thats cuz no one change they damn trans fluid! on those nissan cvts change it every 30k miles dont listen to the car maker!
@@Mason-fv1zl Are you smoking something.
western part of the world: almost no dust= running big air cleaners. AFRICA: full of dust, running no air cleaner. LOL
All the fine dust trapped in the piston rings is probably the only reason it still has compression XD
@@ElijahDeckerI would love to borescope these engines and see what the cylinder walls look like.
This car have no 3.7 million km for sure!
Engines used this way can not last 100 000
@@svinche2I would assume the engine has been rebuilt many times or replaced many times with this many kilometers.
@@HQdefault64 simply it is not possible even if they drive that car non stop!, because there are no roads in that part of the world and in many cases when is wet season, to pass 50 km you need all day to drive in mud!
Tittle is clickbait ! (classic Byllshiting by uploader)
Here is me worried about my oil preasure in my diesel
Там карбюратор
Ahahahah
How on earth does this engine last in those conditions without air-filter
Women : "oh no this car has a scratch I can't use this"
Men :
True lmao
It runs like a dream! Sounds super healthy :D.
And the original tyres.
Tires you freak
Incredible that it can still circulate with that mileage. Thank you Passy for showing us some of the jewels that circulate in Africa. 👏👏👏
He's making up the mileage to get more views
Datsun era Nissan powertrains were at a minimum the equal to Toyotas. I actually think the Nissans were tougher myself.
Your right, you can’t calculate it..so why act impressed?
1 liter of oil every 100km hahaha.. it´s awesome how those cars just never stop
Typical old Nissan/Datsun, valve seals completely gone but it still runs great
the frame looks completely fine
Those old datsun-Nissan engines are also used in old forklifts, and they also make many running hours without mayor issues. Have a client with 51.000hours on the clock, where other brands are fully worn out at 15.000-25.000 hours.
As a car guy im very impressed , it's really amazing seeing a car that old and worn and still in good running condition 👍👍
And the stupid european politicians worrying about the cars emissions😂
Money well spent. Nothing goes to waste. The greenest car of the whole world. If it still works, super.
They were built different💪💪
Now imagine if it was given some love.
They are true veterans of the road! If a catastrophic apocalyptic situation (nuclear, EMP.) occurs on some continent, cars from the 2000s and later will soon stop, and cars from the 1980s and 1990s will survive longer, but they are not perfect either. In the long run, only these old vehicles will survive to transport cargo to various places. Survivalists need to keep these cars in their garage just in case. 👍
This car already survived many catastrophic apocalyptic situations thats for sure.
This is a museum piece
900000Naira=€560. Sounds reasonable or at least affordable.
i don't think it's worth even 10 euros in scrap metal.
@@krecik2336 I'd pay $100000 just to be able to say I have a car with 3 million km

It's a 720
@@ColonelPenguin yes sorry youre right its a 720 👍😘.
Respect a toi mec merci pour tes vidéos
The car costs around €600 !
I think that is a lot off money.
All the cars that get towed away in the UK to get scraped , they should donate them to these guys
Might as well make it 3,700,000,000,000km!
Yeh! DATSUN for ever! Should be on show at Nissan factory.
22 million miles i think is what that figure works out to be
thanks for many videos
and starts at first key lol :)
Apparently there’s no MOT there.
"Minor body deffects" but all correct!!!!!!
thanks to this video i found out the rusty truck bed in the forest near me is from a datsun
👑🦁 Love old trucks! So many memories!
As long as the air condition works I would buy it.
If the truck is 40 years old it had to run 253 kilometers a day to get 3.7 million. It looks like it might have actually done that.
Merci beaucoup Passy, vous faites un excellent travail. Vous êtes réalisateur de documentaires.
Love how the entire car is falling apart, but the battery has a custom bracket and shiny new lock 😂
Would be interesting to see how many points it would fail on a UK MOT test lol.
Start with which ones it would pass
Love it, that's some great Patina you got going there.
Let's name it "Blue Barbary!" 🦁👑
It has served many kilometers, this is preserving a car and thus reducing the carbon footprint.
Its a D21 hardside Nissan! 92/ ? Great truck - I fixed one up fr rust and drove it in mtns of canada! Starter is hard to change-took 9 hrs! But miss that truck! Listen listen... Nissan Piss'in :) had a 75 datsun truck too! Looks like its a Datsun!
That’s a Datsun, not a Nissan. You can see the Datsun logo on the tailgate.
Yes, Datsun was the brand name before Nissan, but they say Nissan because technically it is a Nissan.
Especialy I like the old paint, and bodywork👍
Звук у мотора лучше чем у любой лады
Datsun 🙌🏼
That old thing is actually pretty cool.
My car doesn't have the three fuel tanks, only one!
Newest car in Africa
I love Nissan trucks!!!
- 3,7 million
20 seconds later:
- 37 million
doing math like Ben Shapiro 🤔
Tomorrow: 370 million
37 something... a bunch of zeros (mi or km, I don't know)
The odometer would turn over at 1 million, hes probably reading thr tenths digit as KMs 😂
So while it undoubtedly has turned over. The odometer is displaying 370,000 kms NOT millions. Also this is ar LEAST a 1980 MY because before that Nissan vehicles had 5-digit odometers.
Basically theres no way to tell how many kms are on it, but seeing how long Datsuns lasted here in the USA; Murilee Martin did a photo essay of a 1980 210 (b310 chassis) that had 370,000 MILES (600k kms) on it. Beibg it looked showroom fresh compared to this pickup, it wouldn't surprise me if it has many millions of kilometers on it.
Starts doing skids and drifts
Next time that oil change guys says I need a new air filter, I'm going to show him this video.
Вот что значит Московских солей не видела)))000
Nissan trucks are bulletproof especially these 1970s ones.
I love it but it needs an air filter or your piston rings are gonna be worn out quicker
Its a Nissan \Datsun my 85 720 Still runs strong with the NapZ Engine mine is a dream compared to this one and running at 3000000 plus miles. Why we Americans we give up on our cars so soon as we get into debt for a new one.
That sunlight coming through the wheel wells is very usefull when checking the tires.
Want to drive this car around central londomium
Yep Full service history as well
You could only do this in the desert.
And in the West, that vehicle would be considered hazardous by now.
I'm convinced that is NOT a 1960s model. Late '70s? Early '80s, maybe?
Interesting video.
How in god's name is that thing still running? This is insane :o
It has better patina than I see on most classic cars.
The body is disintegrating, but the engine is still running strong, it didn't even take a second to start. If anything this video is proof to how extremely reliable Japanese cars were back in the day. They're still reliable now, but with more complex electronics, something will fail eventually
This is a 1980 model Nissan pick up truck… a lot of kilometres!!!!😮😮😮
That is very okay as long as you don't believe that the engine "was never" replaced or built severals times then it's good.
with 1/37th of its original power...
Passy скажи пожалуйста, почему вы все ездите без воздушных фильтров?
Плавится на солнце)
Hard to purchase parts
🔥🔥🔥
This little Datsun is the slave lake of mini trucks.
I learned how to drive stick shift on a truck like this one as a teenager in the mid 80's, it was fairly new at the time. Absolutely loved it!! Very high quality, it lasted several hundred thousand miles as a not very well taken care of work truck.
Nissans prior to 1995 were almost unbreakable, the only thing that could do them in was rust. Even in desert climate it looks like this one's almost eaten by the tinworm.
This is the official car of the movie "Back To The Future". This car didn't teleport, it drove the whole way. That's about how many kilometras you have to travel.
Or you could buy about 10 chevy tahoes to get a combined 3.7 million miles. Wow excellent DATSUN
イイ味出てますね~オ〜ナ~さん、お気に入りなんですかね~小型トラック、頑張って走ってほしいです~😂👍👍👍✨🎶😊💯😉🙆
Nowhere does it say that it has 3.7 million kilometers.
Also, I doubt the odometer works.
Exactly
Reading 37 million on a speedo that counts up to 100k.
thats pretty impressive! ESPICALLY for a NISSAN! they modern cars all use cvt transmissions that fail like crazy! i think they actual trucks like the titan and frontier still use regular transmissions but as for they cars they suck now!
Bullcrap. Such a dumb thing to say and these people commenting are like wow. Ok think about the rare Toyota in America that clocks 1 million miles..it’s done on well paved interstates. Now imagine doing 4 times that through the jungle or whatever beat up roads they have. What is the top speed you can travel, 30mph? Know how long it would take to put miles on driving through the woods and beat up roads? Have some common sense people
why tf u gotta make up these km's :D cool vids but lying just ruins them
Good car but where is the test drive?
Realistically it probably has 100,000 miles, if that
37000000 km? its a world wordl wordl record o,O
It looks like,37 Million s Kilometers that came close to the Truth
How do you get parts or clutch for a 65 Datsun in Africa??
I'd say early 1980s. 3.7 million on the clock is a lot.
And its only on its 12th engine!
Battery is locked to keep bandits/thieves away
Il n'y a pas de voleurs au Congo.
No engine will run with no air cleaner that long. Dont make it seem like it just kept running lol
Is engine original or swapped?
Back when Nissan still competed with Toyota.
Why do cars in Africa and the Middle East last longer than in Europe and America?
This car costs around €600 !
Complete madness.
...and legal to drive and load it!
